Worst VPN I have used. Connections are extremely unreliable. I can't understand why they need to keep changing everything "to stay with the times" just to add "features" that literally do nothing. Discover on LAN? Broke. Override GPS location? Broke. Rotating IP? Broke. Clean web? It actually increases the number of ads and pop-ups. Every time they update the app, it forces you to go back to their "wireguard" protocol, which is SLOWER than dial-up. DO NOT USE IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVACY.
Surfshark works alright but updates are cumbersome and typically come when I need to get something done quickly. They do no appear to allow automatic updates and I only know one is needed when I lose internet connection on my network. After several attempts to change servers, I get a notice that an update is needed. I also find that Surfshark slows my download speed and I often have to choose a server in another country outside of the USA. I use Android, Apple and Microsoft devices.
I have paid version Surfshark on my laptop and phone. It's been much more of a headache than expected. Nearly every time I do a google search from my address bar on either device, I have to verify that I'm not a bot, sometimes by just clicking a box, sometimes by having to identify pictures. Ticketmaster & TSN+ doesn't work at all with this VPN, so I have to turn it off for those. Likewise with my email on my laptop. I feel like these problems could be tolerated with the free version.
