Paris is rising in revolt, but German reinforcements might be closing in. Race your Allied forces to the city, crush German strongholds, and liberate Paris before the enemy strikes back!

Historical background: After the Falaise Gap closed, the Allies deliberately made the decision to bypass Paris, fearing a protracted urban battle like Stalingrad. In addition, Paris required 4,000 tons of supplies daily: taking it would stall the advance towards the Rhine. HOWEVER, on 19th August 19, an insurrection erupted in Paris. For two days, chaotic negotiations and fleeting ceasefires unfolded as both sides probed each other’s strength. On 22nd, both sides in Paris agreed... that they could not agree: let's fight it out. While the French resistance put up hundreds of barricades, the German side fortified themselves into a handful of strongholds, waiting for the promised Panzergrenadier Brigades to arrive to crush the resistance in the city. The French Resistance hoped to force Eisenhower into an earlier attack on Paris, which indeed happened, and on August 23rd, French and American tanks were rolling towards Paris. Now, the race is on: Will German panzers arrive in time to crush the uprising, or will Allied tanks break through first and secure a liberated Paris?

What makes this scenario unique: You command both the desperate, increasingly squeezed uprising and the armored spearheads racing to the rescue. With multiple roads leading into Paris, you’ll be forced to balance several narrow thrusts, how much risk are you willing to take to avoid being cut off?
