The app was really great, but lately it's gotten a pretty bad bug where it will randomly notify me that it doesn't have a connection so my data is blocked. Even though the ap is running and shows connected in the actual app notification. The only fix is to open the Mullvad app and it will say disconnected for a split second before reconnecting. It's like it's just turning itself off maybe?
They removed port forwarding, making the service useless for torrenting, plus there's no proxy so you get a huge number of captchas, which makes your browsing experience extremely slow and painful. Mullvad is likely the best VPN from a privacy standpoint, but that doesn't do much good when you largely can't use the VPN for VPN necessary tasks.
Great VPN for privacy, but the service has gotten worse, not better. They removed the port forwarding feature without any refunds, so the 1+ year I already paid for is worthless. The app on mobile often stops working when you lock your phone or just randomly, meaning you have to turn it off and back on; it just adds a lot of frustration. Many sites have Mullvad's IP's blocked by default, including Netflix and other streaming services. Doesn't seem to be any reason to continue using this VPN.
