Good app, but needs a lot more features ... Should have ability to program multiple Downtimes, not just one ... The map system seems ancient for a Google app, it should update constantly not just per update button press (even other apps have instant tracking updates, plus seeing their speed, braking, etc etc) ... Locating settings to adjust things is a nightmare, seems like most of it is just randomly placed all over the entire app. Can never remember where to go to do certain tasks.
Very useful and the options are improving. I wish we could allow chosen apps to be accessible during downtime. Like, if my child needs to text a friend, having to fully unlock just for that is a bit much. There's an issue where sometimes my child's device won't update changes I've made. They're online so it's not that. Also, the app will randomly turn off their location tracking. That's a major problem.
Using for a few years and still the most simple feature that several have requested still isn't available. I did send feedback. Even when you check off 'always allow', the text messaging app doesnt not work when the phone is locked, kind of annoying when you want to prevent excessive phone use but also allow child to text family. I wish there were time frames instead of time limits on apps. I'm not going to email my suggestions to Google, being seen would be a miracle.
