Needed something that could keep up with my little one and so far it seems like this will certainly deliver. Takes a bit of set up, but it's quite thorough and no matter how much I mess with it I can't get into anything without the passcode. Edit: I ran into some issues surrounding the main feature of the app. Home button completely nullified the app. While setting up Neev found a solution to the problem while setting up permissions for the new app. Now, back to this app and happy it works.
It still works. They haven't updated the app since 2018, so none of android's new security features have been accounted for. Go to Settings/Apps and press the three dots in the top right corner. Select "Special Access". Select "Draw over other apps" (or "Appear on top") and grant that permission to Kids Zone. It will start blocking everything again. The developer needs to update the app so that it requests the correct permissions. Hope this helps!
This is, by far, the best kids' mode app that I have experienced! Most of the apps meant to limit what your child can have access to always have something that still pops up. This app actually does keep the kids within kids' mode!! Even when they hit the home button, it still redirects right back to the kids mode app! You can also set a time limit and once that is up the app still works, keeping the child out of grown-up areas, but turns off the child's access to games. Love this app!!
