Fate/Grand Order Back to School Campaign Guide

In time for the back-to-school season, Fate/Grand Order is holding a special Global Server Exclusive Campaign to celebrate the School season and supplying all Players with Saint Quartz, special time-limited character upgrading materials, and a Brand New Limited Time banner featuring 3 Limited Timed Servants - the 5* Berserker Mysterious Heroine X (Alter), 5* Caster Illyasviel von Einzbern and 4* Caster Miyu Edelfelt.

In this guide, we will go over the special things coming with this Back to School campaign in addition to deciding whether or not players should roll on the special Back to School Limited Timed Banner.

Let’s play Fate/Grand Order on PC and find out together.

Fate/Grand Order Back to School Celebration Campaign

Being held from August 29th to September 12th, the Fate/Grand Order Back to School Celebration Campaign brings with it 4 major events, some of which benefit newer players (with the Start Dash campaign) and older players (Returning Players campaign).

Special Login Campaign

Held for the entire duration of the Back to School Campaign period, when players log into Fate/Grand Order during the campaign, they will be rewarded with 3 to 5 saint quarts each day, up to a total of 20 saint quarts obtainable through logging in consecutively for 5 days straight without any break in between.

Therefore it is of the utmost importance that players LOG INTO THE GAME 5 DAYS IN THE CAMPAIGN PERIOD in order to obtain all 20 saint quarts.

Start Dash Campaign Rewards Increased

For a limited time during the event campaign duration, when new players make new accounts and join Fate/Grand Order, the special rewards they gain from the new players' Start Dash Login Campaign will be greatly increased, helping to strengthen the potential of newer players when joining the game for the first time.

For the event duration only, new players will receive an additional 30 saint quarts and 10 summoning tickets on the 7th day they log into the game, amounting to 22 additional summons for new players to make during the Back to School Campaign.

Special Returning Players Login Bonus

For players who are intending to return to Fate/Grand Order, this is the perfect time to return as the game is offering an additional login event for returning players who have been away for 1 month before this Back to School Special Campaign.

By logging into the game for 7 DAYS IN A ROW, returning players will be rewarded with 30 saint quarts, amounting to 11 summons. Keep in mind that returning players will only get this additional log in campaign if they have been away from the game for over 1 month.

Special Half AP Strengthening Quests Campaign

The final event for the Back to School Campaign is a minor one but still is beneficial for all players nonetheless. For the Campaign duration, certain special strengthening and interlude quests will only cost half of their usual AP costs.

The applicable quests are the strengthening and interludes of the 3 rate up servants: Mysterious Heroine X (Alter) , Illyasviel von Einzbern and Miyu Edelfelt.

Back to School Campaign Rate Up Banner - Should You Pull

In addition to the 4 special events held in the Back to School Campaign, a special Rate UP Banner is also available for a limited time, featuring 3 special Event Limited Servants - 5* Berserker Mysterious Heroine X (Alter) , 5* Caster Illyasviel von Einzbern and 4* Caster Miyu Edelfelt

Mysterious Heroine X (Alter)

An extremely powerful Single Target Damage Dealer with a kit specializes in destroying the Saber Class, Mysterious Heroine X (Alter) (or MHXA) is a special Berserker that posses an extremely versatile kit with the capability of dealing massive amounts of both Noble Phantasm and Critical damages.

MHXA's strongest point lies in her extremely versatile kit which allows her to not only buff herself with the buffs she needs to deal good damage - Atk up and Quick up - but also gives the entire team stars and star absorption up in order to help the team deal better critical damage as a whole. In addition, her kit includes a good heal built into her 1st skill after her buff, making her better at surviving despite her class of Berserker.

MHXA’s Noble Phantasm lets her deal Massive Single Target Quick damage to a single enemy and grants her enhanced damage if the enemy happens to be of the Saber Class, making her an extremely useful character to be able to kill Saber Class bosses easily.

Illyasviel von Einzbern

Illyasviel von Einzbern (or Illya for short) is a 5* Single Target Buster NP Caster that has the ability to spam her NP and deal impressive amounts of damage to boss enemies. It is also important to note that Illya is a COLLAB LIMITED SERVANT, meaning unless there's a special event that features her, her availability is extremely limited, even more so than normal Limited Servants.

Illya’s kit is a relatively bland and simple kit, but it serves her extremely well and makes her a decent sub DPS to carry in the team with good survivability for boss fights and challenge quests.

Illya’s kit consists of 2 main things - buffing her Noble Phantasm damage output and improving her survivability. Illya’s 1st skill boosts her damage output by a whopping 50% by increasing her Buster Damage by 50% for 1 turn, making her Noble Phantasm damage in that turn become extremely powerful. Illya’s 2nd and 3rd skill focus more on her survivability as the 2nd skill grants her 50% NP charge and 1 turn Invincibility and the 3rd skill grants her (or an ally) a massive heal, guts status and Immunity for 1 time, 3 turns.

Miyu Edelfelt

A 4* Arts Support Caster, Miyu comes together with Illya with a kit to buff the entire team’s survivability and help improve the team’s Arts performance.

Miyu’s strong point lies in her Noble Phantasm which allows her to grant the entire team 10% NP gain and HP regen every turn, making it extremely easy for the entire team to loop their Noble Phantasm and maintain their survivability in long fights and challenge quests. However, in exchange for such good flexibility for the team, Miyu must pay her HP as a cost to activate her Noble Phantasm, preventing her from constantly firing her Noble Phantasm, limiting her potential greatly.

Should You Pull

It Depends. As mentioned in another article, this period of Fate/Grand Order is filled with filler banners as there’s no real strong targets that absolutely must be rolled for the next 6 months in the game. Therefore, the decision on whether or not to roll on these banners hinges on the players’ own favoritism towards the servants or if the servants fill the player’s roster well enough. If you are missing a good damage dealer and general survivability buffer for your teams, we highly recommend rolling for MHXA and Miyu as they are worth the efforts and resources that need to be spent to fully upgrade them.
