Brock - Complete Brawler Guide for Brawl Stars (Overview, Tips & Tricks)

Brawler Overview:

Brock is a common brawler and belongs in the best Brawl Stars characters; He is unlocked as Trophy Reward as soon as you hit 1000 Trophies. While he has low health, he fires rockets in an extremely long-range that explode on impact dealing moderate to high amounts of damage in a very small radius. His first Super fires a Rocket Barrage too close to his feet. His first gadget flings him to the air and allows him to fire at his feet, dealing damage to enemies around him.

His second gadget makes Brock's attack extremely powerful and turns it into a mega-rocket, while his first Star Power allows his rockets to leave a trail of fire behind them, dealing AoE damage. His last star power increases his ammo capacity from four to eight.

Brock’s Basic Attack:

Brock's Basic Attack fires a rocket with an extremely long-range and deals explosion damage of radius one tile on impact. His attacks travel too slowly as compared to other basic attacks. Moreover, his reload speed is extremely slow, rendering him quite clunky in certain situations.

Rocket Rain:

Brock's First Super has him fire a barrage of nine to ten rockets spread out in an extensive area dealing immense damage. These particular rockets penetrate through obstacles and can also go above them. The entire Super takes 2.4 seconds to complete, which allows some time for your opponents to react.

Rocket Laces:

Rocket Laces lets Brock blow up the ground underneath him, allowing him to propel into the air. The explosion itself deals about 600 damage to nearby enemies in a minimal radius. This skill is the coup de grace for Brock as it grants him insane mobility. With his propulsion, he can go over walls, obstacles, and water as well.

The explosion itself is non-destructive and does not deal with damage to bushes or other obstacles.

Incendiary:

Brock's first-star power leaves a trail of fire behind him that deals a massive 520 damage per second. It lasts about 2 seconds, with the flames having a radius of 1 tile only. So, they can deal up to 1040 damage per hit.

Rocket No. Four:

Brock’s second super increases his ammo capacity so that he can ready up four attacks at once. However, his reload speed will remain the same. So, you actually will end up taking more time to reload after you have activated his super due to his extra rocket.

LDPlayer Features To Use With Brawl Stars:

Brock, like many other brawlers in Brawl Star, requires a lot of mechanical skill. With an immense amount of combinations possible, having the ability to completely customize your controls and remap them while also using your keyboard and mouse is an advantage that LDPlayer provides.

Moreover, if there's a particularly tricky combo that you cannot always land, you can use LDPlayer's built-in macro feature to record the action and then instantly use it with the press of a button. LDPlayer has also optimized Brawl Stars. The skill control direction is 100% accurate, and the operation is smoother than before.

Tips and Tricks to Play Brock:

Brock has extremely slow-firing projectiles. So, predicting where the enemy might be is of the essence. Since you have incredibly narrow missiles, pin-point accuracy is a pre-requisite, which is why Brock can be quite hard to play for newer plays.

Try to pick Brock in open maps as those places where the Brawler can genuinely shine due to the lack of cover that those areas have. If you play in a more closed space, short-ranged Brawlers can quickly come close to you and ambush you.

Due to his generally low durability, Brock must be kept behind his team at all times. Think of him as a frail glass cannon-ranged Marksman from an RPG game who has an elusive escape but mainly relies on his teammates' buffs for him to consistently damage. However, just like a true glass-cannon, Brock deals immense damage if left unchecked.

Understanding Brock’s Utilities:

While it may not seem like Brock's gadgets and star power do much, they are quite useful in certain situations. For example, using Brock's Super whenever you find a group of opponents clumped up behind a wall can be devastating if aimed precisely.

Moreover, his Super is powerful when you wish to split the enemy up into multiple groups as they try to avoid rockets so that your team can take them down one by one.

If you are getting charged down by multiple opponents or by short-ranged brawlers, you can use your Gadget, Rocket Laces, to quickly get out of the situation by jumping over walls.

Lastly, make sure to use Brock’s Incendiary as an area of denial attack as it can stop enemies from entering through a certain choke point as it will deal about 1040 damage in AoE if they try to come through. You can then use three of your rockets at close range to instantly take an enemy out.

Conclusion:

Brawl Stars is an epic top-down shooter with tons of Brawlers for you to choose from. Brock is perhaps the best marksman class character in the game due to his immense damage coupled with his escape and crowd control abilities. At the same time, the Brawler does require more skill than your average Marksman, developing a knack for predictive aim and understanding the character's nuances.  Playing Brock, in general, can easily turn you into a menacing foe who is hard to kill due to his elusive nature while also dealing tons of damage.
