Messages stay in "sent" vs. "delivered" unless I close out the app and reopen the app. Sometimes, that makes the messages "deliver" quicker. Also been getting a lot of connection issues in the app when there's nothing wrong with my internet since other apps are functioning properly. This issue has been going on since at least December 2023. My other friends are having the exact same issue.
Messenger is a basic messaging app which I'm sure, if you're here, you already know. Certain things though that should be simple, just have extra steps. For instance, when I take a picture from my app, portraits almost will always end up sideways. Not always. But almost always. Why? I don't know. People say EXIF corruption. Though I don't know why that would be. But I will say it is a problem and has been for like a year and a half now. Can't fix it? Give an option to not auto rotate by EXIF.
Apparently, this app. was recently updated, but not for the better. The previous version showed an icon for the sender whenever a message was delivered to me. (The icon was the sender's Facebook profile photo.) I liked that feature, but the new version doesn't have it. Now I have to open the Messenger app. in order to see who sent me any messages.
