Only reason why I'm putting my review up with 4 * is because I don't seem to have access to some features. Could be a location issue where my country simply doesn't allow it though, and that's fine. It does exactly what I need it for. Chat and calls. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about recently... It could be user error, system errors, software errors, or it could be device incompatiblility. Who knows. But I have yet to have a major issue with LINE in over a decade.
I have this app on my Samsung A14 5G and it works great for messaging & I can even assign a ringtone to it. But when it comes to the calls it rings with both the ringtone it originally had & the one I assigned it plus when I go to answer it sometimes it'll connect fine, sometimes you can still hear the music & the person you're talking to at the same time or it'll disconnect the call. ***Update I'm posting a 2nd comment that this app doesn't work right on calls!!! Fix it!!! 😡🤬😡🤬
Simple text messaging works PERFECTLY. Supports pictures in text app just fine. Haven't tried calls, but in most places that I use this, the WiFi infrastructure wouldn't support it any, but that's a no-brainer. if you want to avoid an international phone plan, daily "activation fee" (Verizon).... this works quite well. I wish they would bring back the Avatars. :-)
