Crimson Company - fair duellin Overview
Crimson Company is an intense 20-minute duel about drafting an army of sellswords. It involves deep strategic as well as tactical decisions, crazy combos and gut-wrenching mind games.
A SKILL-BASED CARD GAME
You get the accessibility of all the card games you love, but combined with the competitive nature and depth of Chess. There's very little luck involved. Everything will come down to who made the better decisions!
UNIQUE "BOARD DRAFTING" GAMEPLAY
Instead of holding a hand of cards, everything happens right on the board. Both players compete for the same deck and the same selection of sellswords and try to assemble stronger combinations of cards than their opponent.
VARIETY AND DIVERSITY
There are 30 different sellsword characters in the game, each featuring their own unique artwork and special ability! Every match will differ from the one before and you will have to plan out your strategy on the fly each time.
DECISIONS FIRST
The choices you make during a match are what determines your success! The outcome of the game does not depend on who has the "bigger collection" and there are no good or bad pre-determined matchups!
An unskippable intro seems really unnecessary and infuriating. The amount of push notifications I got after installing made me uninstall right away. To be fair, there might be a way of turning them off but I wasn't ready to play through the intro to possibly get there. Those things aside, the game is insanely good. Edit: The devs fixed the problems I had with the game. Great work btw!
The game is genuinely a good turn-based tactical tug-of-war card game. However, I have found the app a frustrating experience. (1) the tutorial was interrupted and closed by a challenge notification before i had learned the rules. (2) I am not able to practice with an AI. (3) the app gives SO many notifications. (4) Even next to my wifi router i get a few blue no connection screens a game. On reconnect I dont get turn options i should have (e.g. to assign coins) and have had to default turns
It's fun and a good concept but takes very long to find someone to play online. Waited for more than 180 seconds and no one? My suggestion : you shouldn't put estimate time to find opponents is 45 seconds. Put 180 seconds. Then if after 90 seconds, nobody, just automatically use a bot. Also maybe have difficulty level for bots. And more game mode so people will stay in the game if they can't find anyone to play with or they will just exit the game.
