With the 3.5 anniversary celebration going in full swing for Arknights, players will have the chance to participate in one of the most important and interesting side story event - Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow and together with it a large variety of important rewards that players will be able to obtain to help with strengthening the players’ operators roster to prepare for future challenging contents coming up in Arknights. In addition, with the release of the side story, a special limited banner have also been released, featuring 2 brand new operators for players to attempt to roll for - the 6* Limited Brawler Guard Chong Yue and the 6* Phalanx Caster Lin.

Arknights Side Story Guide - Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow is one of the Arknights major big events with various rewards made available for all players during the event period. With the Event, players will be able to claim event exclusive rewards such as the free welfare 5* Sniper Operator - Jieyun, special furniture and 3 Headhunting Tickets.

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow - Main Event Battle Stages

During the event period, special event stages will be available for a limited time and players need to clear through all the stages in order to experience the full story of the event. Players also need to clear all of the event stages in order to clear all of the event’s missions and to gain originiums for stage first-clears.

After the first-clears, players will need to spend their stamina (or “sanity”) in order to farm event currencies to exchange for special rewards in the event shop. The event currencies will be rewarded on a 1:1 scale between sanity spent and amount of currencies gained, so players should focus on clearing high sanity stages and farm on those in order to gain the most amount of event currencies in the fastest way possible.

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow - Main Missions

Special Missions will also be available for all players to clear in order to gain special event currencies. In addition, these missions will also reward players with special furniture and a free Welfare - Jieyun.

In order to clear the missions, players will need to finish all of the event battle stages in addition to the challenge stages. All of the missions will only counts the first clear of each stage so for any players who have finished the event before, they will 

need to clear the stages once again in order to claim the mission reward.

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow - Special Challenge Stages

In addition to the main story stages, special challenge stages will also be available for all players to attempt to clear.

For these special Challenge Stages, there’s 2 modes players need to clear - the normal stages and challenge mode stages. Each of the modes will reward players with 1 Originites for each first-clears of the stages, rewarding up to 16 Originites in total for players to gain from these stages.

 

It is important to note that these stages are extremely difficult in nature, so players should prepare their squads properly before attempting these stages.

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow - Event Shop

This time special rewards will be available for all players in the event shop, including special Tokens for Jieyun which are needed to be used to up her potential level and upgrade her power, special headhunting tickets (up to 3 tickets), LMDs, EXP cards and special furnitures to complete the event specific furniture set.

Players should prioritize the special event exclusive rewards on the first tab of the event shop and exchange all of them before moving on to the second event tab. It is also important to note that the event only provides a certain amount of event currencies, therefore, players should consider before exchanging for items in the event shop.

Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow - Special Event Welfare - Jieyun

Jieyun is the 5* Welfare Operator for the Where The Vernal Winds Will Never Blow limited time Side Story Event and players will have the chance to obtain her and all of her tokens to max her potentials. Jieyun is a 5* Artilleryman Archer, meaning she will deal AoE physical damage to enemies within her range and she will have her attack range expanded compared to normal snipers in exchange for slower attacking intervals.

Jieyun’s strong point as an operator lies in her 2nd skill which stop her attacking momentarily but allow her to throw out a special chakram at the target’s spot, constantly dealing AOE physical damage proportional to Jieyun’s own attack and inflict up to 70% movement speed down to enemies hit by the chakram, allowing her to stall the enemies while dealing damage to them.

Arknights 3.5 Anniversary Limited Banner - Should You Roll

Together with the celebration of Arknights’ 3.5 anniversary event, a special rate up banner have been released featuring 2 special operators - the 6* Limited Brawler Guard Chong Yue and the 6* Phalanx Caster Lin

Chong Yue

Chong Yue is a 6* Limited Brawler Guard operator that specializes in dealing massive damage to large groups of enemies using his enhanced normal attacks by utilizing his special auto activation skills.

Chong Yue’s main power lies in his talent and his 3rd skill which greatly enhances his damage output by enhancing his normal attacks and expanding his damage range. Chong Yue’s talent allows him to have a 30% chance to enhance his normal attack by 65% of its damage to a single enemy. This talent, coupled with his 3rd skill which allows him to gain 300% attack stat up, allowing his normal attacks to hit 3 times in a row and expand his normal attack range, allow Chong Yue to become an absolute damage machine when his 3rd skill’s auto activation requirements are met.

 

Chong Yue, coupled with the fact that his 2nd talent allows him to recover SP when eliminating enemies and his limited status, allow him to become one of the most powerful and sought after operators in the game that players must have.

Lin

Lin is a 6* Phalanx Caster who specializes in neutralizing low damage from enemies and dealing moderate amounts of Arts AOE damage in a diamond shape around herself, allowing her to quickly dispatch large groups of small enemies within her range in a short period of time.

Lin’s strong point lies in her ability as a Phalanx Caster who have high defense and resistance, allowing her to tank enemies’ attacks with ease. Coupled that with her talent to completely mitigate damage below 200 and you can essentially have her in any poison stages with no problem worrying about her survival.

 

Lin’s offensive capabilities are quite limited due to her bulkiness and low attack stat, however, her unique range and the ability to deal Arts damage to all enemies within range make her a very interesting and useful operator to have against large groups of enemies.

Absolutely Yes. This is one of the few limited banners in the game that features both useful and powerful 6* operators in the same banner, so rolling in this banner is highly recommended.
