Arknights Hortus de Escapismo Side Story Event Guide - How To Obtain All Rewards

With Christmas Eve upon all of the world, Arknights is celebrating this special once a year occasion by allowing players to partake in a limited time special event that is themed around the Christmas occasion in the world of Terra in the special side story - Hortus de Escapismo. In this side, story players will have the chance to read a story about the angels of the Arknights world in the region of Laterano, and obtain various special event exclusive rewards by challenging and completing special stages in the story. In addition, players will have the chance to roll for a brand new 6* Operator that will be on their own rate up banner - the 6* Reaper Guard Executor the Ex Foedere.

Arknights Side Story Guide - Hortus de Escapismo

 Hortus de Escapismo is one of the Arknights major big events with various rewards made available for all players during the event period. With the Event, players will be able to claim event exclusive rewards such as the free welfare 5* Snipe Operator - Insider, special furniture and 3 Headhunting Tickets.

Hortus de Escapismo - Main Event Battle Stages

During the event period, special event stages will be available for a limited time and players need to clear through all the stages in order to experience the full story of the event. Players also need to clear all of the event stages in order to clear all of the event’s missions and to gain originiums for stage first-clears.

After the first-clears, players will need to spend their stamina (or “sanity”) in order to farm event currencies to exchange for special rewards in the event shop. The event currencies will be rewarded on a 1:1 scale between sanity spent and amount of currencies gained, so players should focus on clearing high sanity stages and farm on those in order to gain the most amount of event currencies in the fastest way possible.

Hortus de Escapismo - Main Missions

Special Missions will also be available for all players to clear in order to gain special event currencies. In addition, these missions will also reward players with special furniture and a free Welfare - Enforcer.

In order to clear the missions, players will need to finish all of the event battle stages in addition to the challenge stages. All of the missions will only counts the first clear of each stage so for any players who have finished the event before, they will 

need to clear the stages once again in order to claim the mission reward.

Hortus de Escapismo - Special Challenge Stages

In addition to the main story stages, special challenge stages will also be available for all players to attempt to clear.

For these special Challenge Stages, there’s 2 modes players need to clear - the normal stages and challenge mode stages. Each of the modes will reward players with 1 Originites for each first-clears of the stages, rewarding up to 16 Originites in total for players to gain from these stages.

 

It is important to note that these stages are extremely difficult in nature, so players should prepare their squads properly before attempting these stages.

Hortus de Escapismo - Event Shop

This time special rewards will be available for all players in the event shop, including special Tokens for Insider which are needed to be used to up his potential level and upgrade his power, special headhunting tickets (up to 3 tickets), LMDs, EXP cards and special furnitures to complete the event specific furniture set.

Players should prioritize the special event exclusive rewards on the first tab of the event shop and exchange all of them before moving on to the second event tab. It is also important to note that the event only provides a certain amount of event currencies, therefore, players should consider before exchanging for items in the event shop.

Hortus de Escapismo Welfare Operator - Insider

Insider is a 5* Sniper Operator that specializes in supplying other operators with Ammo for their Ammo-based skills and has the ability to enhance his own ammo-based skill as well.

Insider is a very unique operator in his ability to not only supply other operators with additional ammos for the operators’ own ammo based skills, he also has a very unique niche in his 2nd skill which allows him to prioritize targeting enemies with ranged weapons. 

 

Insider’s niche is different to other Sniper ranged operators in that his 2nd skill allows him to load up a total of 16 ammos and reduces his taunt level, making less vulnerable to enemies’ range attacks and making them target other operators instead. While this skill is active, he will prioritize attacking enemies with ranged weapons, allowing him to dispatch enemies that might be threats to ranged operators who are vulnerable to all range attacks from enemies, making him a very useful operator to have.

Special Rate Up Banner - Should You Roll

With the release of special Arknights side story event - Hortus de Escapismo, players will have the chance to roll for a brand new 6* operator on rate up - the 6* Reaper Guard Executor the Ex Foedere.

Executor the Ex Foedere

Executor the Ex Foedere or Executor Alter for short is a 6* Guard of the Reaper Guard archetype, making him the first ever Operator of this rarity for the archetype. His abilities allows him to deal massive amounts of damage to all enemies within his limited range,ignoring their defenses and healing himself with every damage instance, in exchange for his inability to be healed by other operators on the field.

Executor the Ex Foedere’s skill kit and abilities allow him to deal massive amounts of damage to all enemies within his range by activating his special ammo-based skills. Executor the Ex Foedere’s main skill is his 3rd skill, which in exchange for increasing his attack interval for a bit (which reduces his attack speed), allow Executor the Ex Foedere increase his damage output by increasing his attack to up to 360% of his attack stat and allow him to recover up to 150 HP per hit. In addition, his skill also allows him to deal a massive burst of damage equal to 250% of the total damage he dealt during the skill duration, allowing him to finish off a large majority of tanky enemies with one skill cycle.

 

Executor the Ex Foedere’s talent also allows him to occasionally deal double the damage by initiating an additional damage instance, allowing him to deal even more damage.

Should You Pull

Yes, You Should. Executor the Ex Foedere is one of the operators with the most powerful damage output potential due to his damage centric skill kit and his high burst damage potential. In addition, in certain circumstances and stages, he will be able to simply solo a stage all by himself if the players understand how his skill kit works and is able to take full advantage of his self-sufficient talent and abilities.
