Arknights Dorothy’s Vision- How to Get The Most Rewards

After waiting for almost 2 months long, Arknights players will finally be able to participate in one of the most anticipated and long-awaited events ever in the form of the limited time event - Dorothy’s Vision. This event introduces special brand new mechanics, a lot of interesting and valuable rewards including 3 Free Headhunting Tickets, a FREE Welfare Caster Operator up for grab and introduces one of the most versatile and beloved 6* Operators in the game - the 6* Trapper Specialist Dorothy.

 

In this guide, we will go over all of the event’s main details and advise players on how they can best obtain all of the rewards available from the event in the fastest possible way and show players how they can take advantage of the brand new stage system in the event to obtain rewards. In addition, we will also debate on whether or not players should roll on the special rate up banner featuring the long-awaited 6* Trapper Specialist Operator - Dorothy.

Dorothy’s Vision Event Guide

One of the highly anticipated events that have been pushed back in the schedule for almost 2 months, Dorothy Vision is a 3 weeks limited time event that, like typical limited time events in Arknights, provides players with special event limited stages to challenge and the task of accumulating as much event currencies as possible in order to exchange items in the shop, which includes valuable materials and the free 5* welfare Astgenne.

Dorothy's Vision Main Story Stages

Like other events before it, the Dorothy's Vision event is divided into 3 different types of stages, one of which is the main event story stages. These stages will serve as players’ primary source of farming and event currencies.

 

There’s a total of 8 stages in the main story stages section and clearing them will reward players with 8 Originites in total when players first clear stages.

In addition, farming these stages will grant players event currencies needed to be used to exchange for event exclusive materials in the shop. The amount of currencies obtainable is proportional to the amount of sanity spent for each stage and every stage will have a special material that might be dropped once clear, therefore players should pick a stage that has the materials you need and farm that stage throughout the event for maximum efficiency. 

 

It is highly recommended that players farm the last 3 stages of the main stage in order to obtain the most amount of Tier 3 materials for upgrading characters.

EX Challenge Stages

In addition to the main story stages, a total of 8 EX Challenge stages, offering challenging stages that players only need to clear once to claim their full rewards.

 

When first clearing the EX challenge stages, players will be able to activate the Challenge Mode, enhancing the difficulty of the stages and reward players with an additional Originites for each clear for a total of 8 extra Originites.

 

These stages are extremely dangerous and difficult to clear, therefore players should pay attention and strengthen their squad before attempting to clear these stages.

Special Record Collection Stages

Unlike other events, special Record Collection stages will be available for players to play and clear in the Dorothy Vision event. These stages are extremely difficult, however, the stage itself provides players some support with the addition of backup operators already present on the field. The main goal of the stage is for players to defeat all of the enemies all the while protecting the backup operators provided in order to clear the stages successfully.

To unlock these stages, players will need to fulfill certain requests while clearing the main story stages of the event.

Event Shop

The event shop this time provides players with a large amount of character upgrading materials, event specific furniture items, 3 special Headhunting tickets and the tokens for the FREE Welfare Operator Astgenne.

Players should prioritize getting all of the 5 tokens of the free operator Astgenne in addition to the special event limited furniture items as they are exclusive to the event and won’t be available once the event has ended. In addition, special module upgrading materials are extremely valuable in this event so players should prioritize getting those as soon as possible for future investment. Otherwise, Tier 4 and Tier 3 character upgrading materials and EXP are the best items players should get once they have finished getting all of the prioritized rewards.

Dorothy’s Vision- Main Missions

Special Missions will also be available for all players to clear in order to gain special event currencies. In addition, these missions will also reward players with special furniture and a free Welfare - Astgenne.

In order to clear the missions, players will need to finish all of the event battle stages in addition to the challenge stages. All of the missions will only counts the first clear of each stage so for any players who have finished the event before, they will 

need to clear the stages once again in order to claim the mission reward.

Limited Free Welfare Operator - Astgenne

Astgenne is a free welfare operator of the Chain Caster Operator class, a class that specializes in dealing arts damage that bounces between enemies and slowing their movement speed. Historically, this class of caster have been extremely underwhelming, however, there are some exceptions to this like the aptly named Godsenger and Astgenne.

Astgenne’s main mechanics is quite simple, she takes full advantage of her archetypes’ power to deal chain Arts damage to enemies and amplify those traits with her skills which grants her an attack boost, an attack range expansion and helps her to deal damage to 2 targets simultaneously, allowing her attacks to bounces between 8 enemies at the same time. Her kit allows her to be a consistent damage dealer to a large number of enemies and help to slow down the enemies’ advance as long as there’s a large amount of enemies before her.

 

With higher levels and potential levels ( which is obtainable since she is a welfare operator), she will be able to circumvent her high cost and make her a good damage dealer when dealing with stages that have a lot of enemies advancing at once.

Special Rate UP Banner - Should You Roll

Together with the Dorothy’s Vision event comes a special rate up banner that features the namesake of the event itself - the 6* Trapper Specialist Dorothy.

Dorothy

Dorothy is a 6* Trapper Specialist Operator that is basically the bomber man of arknights with her abilities to place bombs on the battlefield that will explode in a cross pattern and deal massive amounts of AOE damage to surrounding enemies.

Dorothy’s main strong point lies in her ability to deploy bombs that players can place on unoccupied spaces on the battlefield in order to set up traps for the enemies to step on. The moment the enemies step on the traps, they will be dealt damage and an additional debuff status based on which skill Dorothy has equipped herself. 

 

Dorothy’s main effect and main skill is her 3rd skill, which transforms her bombs into cross shaped explosions that deal massive amounts of damage to the enemy stepping on them and enemies within the cross pattern. In addition, if another bomb is within the explosion range, it will trigger a chain explosion reaction and immediately explode, dealing additional damage to surrounding enemies.

Should You Pull

Probably. Dorothy is one of the most versatile operators in the game with decent damage potential and the ability to debuff enemies and stall them, with a good overall kit and easy to grasp mechanics. However, in order to use Dorothy, players will need to pay attention and learn how to properly position her bombs in the correct way in order to deal the most amount of damage and make use of her unique abilities. Therefore, if players are willing to adapt to a brand new playstyle, then Dorothy is an absolute must get.
