The story and especially setting was good for the most part but the ending was lackluster and the battle system gets tedious. Had potential bit a lot of things need to be worked on like making it more compelling. I would like a sequel that's a significant improvement with the tedious battle system and a storyline that becomes more dynamic towards to the end
So far, the game is enjoyable. It is what would happen if square enix made a resident evil game during the super Nintendo era. Top down perspective, first person turn-based battles, plenty of rich dialogue, & a pretty compelling story. Great job. My only nitpick is that after I first installed the game it told me there was a 79 MB patch. This patch stalled out at 1 to 2% no matter what I did. My workaround was to force stop the game, then clear the cache and the storage, then open it again.
I couldn't finish it. It's a lovely looking game in retro 2D pixels, and for the first few hours, it's engaging enough. However, it quickly becomes apparent that the game is lacking in content: the battle system is boring, there's no collecting of items or sub quests, and the dialogue is peculiar at times. The zombie trope references are a nice touch, but there's not enough here to make this memorable and I ran out of enthusiasm. A missed opportunity to create something original and exciting.
