Epic Seven September Hero Balance Update Patch - What To Expect

With the update coming to Epic Seven this end of julSeptember, a variety of heroes will receive special skill changes and gameplay mechanic updates. With this rendition of Epic Seven, a total of 4 5* heroes have experienced changes to their kit, some are major changes to how their kit work and some or minor adjustments to their kit in order to make them easier to use or to strengthen their PvE and PvP capabilities.

 

Of the 4 5* heroes, 2 of them are Moonlight heroes and 2 are normal Covenant Heroes.

Martial Artist Ken

Martial Artist Ken is a 5* Dark Warrior Hero that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage by counterattacking whenever the enemies attack him and deal enhanced damage if he is hit with critical damage.

Martial Artist Ken’s main strong point lies in his ability to always counter whenever the enemy dares attack him with their attacks and heals the damage off the enemies’ attacks with his special counter attacks that recovers his own HP proportional to the damage he dealt to the enemy. In addition, with his passive talent, Martial Artist Ken’s counter attacks will always result in a critical hit, allowing him to focus all of his stats to critical damage instead of boosting his critical rate. However, the problem with Martial Artist Ken lies in the fact that he only counterattacks whenever he is attacked, which can be really difficult to get around.

 

With his new buff, Martial Artist Ken now receives two major changes to his skill kit, allowing him to not only perform even better with his already powerful counterattacking mechanic but also turning him into a team player. With the new buff, Martial Artist Ken will now receive a 2 turns Vigor buff at the start of battle, granting him 30% increased attack and defense. In addition, now, whenever an ally aside from Martial Artist Ken is attacked, he will immediately counter attack with a devastating attack of his own, allowing him to deal massive amounts of damage to the attacker and protect his allies.

Twisted Eidolon Kayron

Twisted Eidolon Kayron is a 5* Light Thief character that focuses on granting himself the counter attacking buff that allows him to deal massive amounts of AOE counter attacks with his first skill while accumulating Fighting Spirit in order to unleash a devastating attack on all enemies that ignore their defensive abilities.

Twisted Eidolon Kayron’s main strong point lies in his 3rd skill, which can only be used whenever he accumulated enough Fighting Spirit from attacking with his normal skills. When used, Twisted Eidolon Kayron’s 3rd skill will deal a massive hit of damage to all enemies and inflict True Damage to all enemies depending on his status, dispatching the enemy with ease by ignoring their defensive buffs entirely. However, due to the unreliable nature of his kit requiring the enemies to have buffs to be able to gather Fighting Spirits, Twisted Eidolon Kayron is not used much.

 

With the new buff, Twisted Eidolon Kayron will now be more powerful and successful in his endeavor to accumulate Fighting Spirit and deal with the entire enemy’s team. Twisted Eidolon Kayron’s 2nd skill passive now grants him 10 Fighting Spirit for every time an enemy’s turn ends and increases his own combat readiness by 50% whenever he has accumulated full Fighting Spirit. This allows him to use his 3rd skill and deal massive amounts of AOE and fixed damage to all enemies, with the fixed damage increasing proportional to the amount of Fighting Spirit he consumes, up to a massive 12000 True Damage.

Beehoo

Beehoo is a 5* Fire Ranger Hero that specializes in inflicting the enemies with the burn debuffs, dealing massive amounts of DoT debuff damage proportional to his own attack stat and detonating the burn effects immediately to deal even more damage whenever it is necessary.

Beehoo’s skill kit revolves around the ability to completely dispel all enemies’ buffs while boosting Beehoo’s and the entire team’s combat readiness up in order to set up the burn strategy and debuff the entire enemy’s team to detonate and deal massive amounts of damage from burn immediately. Beehoo’s 3rd skill allows him to not only dispel all enemies’ buffs, but also making them unable to receive buffs for 2 turns and increase the combat readiness of himself by 50% while the entire team’s combat readiness also increases by 20%. Beehoo’s normal 1st skill attack is also extremely powerful with its detonation effect, detonating all Burning debuffs on the enemies and instantly deal the full DoT damage from those debuffs immediately. 

 

With the new buff, Beehoo’s consistency will increase with his 3rd skill being buffed even more, allowing him to be able to soul burn the skill to reduce its cooldown by 2 turns, allowing him to constantly use the skill whenever he needs it for the entire team.

Eligos

Eligos is a 5* Fire Ranger hero that specializes in dealing massive amounts of ST damage to 1 enemy and inflicting them with many useful debuffs for other allies to be able to easily and quickly destroy the weakened enemy.

Eligos’ kit revolves around using his 3rd skill do deal a massive damage blow to an enemy, dispelling all of their buffs and inflicting them with the target debuff, increasing the damage dealt to them by 30% and decreases their defense by 70%, ensuring that any damage they will receive afterwards will be devastating to them.

 

With the new buff to his kit, Eligos will now become even stronger by receiving a massive damage dealt increase to his damage modifiers, making his damage even more terrifying. In addition, his skill will also  receive a 50% increased hit chance buff, allowing Eligos to almost guarantee to always land his hits and debuffs whenever he attacks an enemy.

Who Should You Focus On Building

With the September Hero Balance Patch Update, players should absolutely focus on building some of the more powerful characters that have received a buff, including the 2 main buffed heroes in this balance patch - Martial Artist Ken and Twisted Eidolon Kayron. With their buffs, Martial Artist Ken will be an extremely useful counter for many of the annoying meta picks in the current Epic Seven Meta, while Twisted Eidolon Kayron will prove to be an extremely powerful threat to many team comps in the future.
