Epic Seven End of April Update Patch Guide

With the month of April coming to an end, Epic Seven is holding a monthly update patch with various updates to the game’s mechanics, functions, gamemodes and the overall balance of the game thanks to the release of brand new heroes being released in addition to the release of the special Custom Group Summon Banner and a brand new never before seen event - the Epic Equipment Craft Event.

Epic Seven End Of April Update Patch

With the brand new End of April update patch, epic seven is bringing with its several special events and campaigns, including a special limited time available special side story, special changes to the story mode and the hero enhancement system in addition to the introduction of a brand new event called the Epic Equipment Crafting Event that will be available for a limited time.

Changes to the Hero Upgrading System

With the end of April update patch, special changes will be applied to the way players upgrade their heroes and promote them to higher levels with the changes to the Phantasma system.

 

Previously, in order to upgrade characters to a higher rarity, players will need to farm, upgrade and level up special units called phantasmas that can serve as a substitute for the cost of upgrading the rarity of a hero to a higher level. This process was quite tedious in nature and is hard to manage due to the fact that the phantasmas takes up precious storage spaces for heroes. In addition, to obtain these phantasmas, players need to either obtain them through events or to spend a currency known as Stigma to get them.

With the brand new update, players won’t be needed Phantasmas to upgrade the rarity of heroes anymore, instead, all phantasma will be transfer into the special items known as promotion flowers that can be used in conjunction with Stigma to upgrade the characters to a higher rarity, this help to not only lessen the burden of holding Phantasmas in the hero inventory but so to help streamline to process of promoting heroes to higher rarities.

Changes to the Stigma and Penguin System

In addition to the changes in the hero upgrading system, the special Penguin EXP system obtained from battle will also experience a change in order to help players obtain more of the currency known as Stigma.

 

Previously, when farming stages, players will be able to accumulate their excess EXP into the special Penguin EXP bar, which when completed, will reward players with a penguin to provide EXP to their heroes. 

With this update, the special Penguin EXP bar will be changed into a special Stigma EXP bar if all of the heroes on the team are of maximum level when clearing the stage. This makes it so that all the excess EXP gained from the battle will be transferred to Stigma instead, allowing players to accumulate this currency to exchange for Penguins and to promote heroes to higher rarity with the brand new Promotion Flowers.

Special Side Story - Advent Nature’s Decline and Decay

With the update patch, a brand new special 2 weeks side story known as Advent Side Story will be held in order for players to obtain special event rewards such as special bookmarks to summon, equipment sub stat changing stones and other important rewards.

The Advent Side Stories are a special type of side stories that contains 3 different stages with 3 difficulties that requires players to form 3 teams of 4 heroes each to fight the boss 3 phases in order to defeat the boss and obtain the event’s currencies.

The stages are extremely difficult and require players to understand the bosses’ 3 phases mechanics in order to clear the stages successfully. It is highly recommended that players know how to build a good team of heroes with familiar abilities in order to clear these stages. As the element of the boss is Earth, having teams of Fire allies is also a big boon. 

Special Limited Time Event - Epic Equipment Crafting Event

Like the Moonlight Hero Recruitment event before it, a brand new web based event will be held with the mechanic of obtaining points from in game activities to exchange for special rewards, this time, the rewards are 2 pieces of lv88 equipments with all customizable stats and sub stats for players to grab.

This special equipment crafting event will be held in 2 waves, in wave 1, players will be able to choose between a lv 88 weapon, helm or armor to craft, while in wave 2, the selection is between a lv88 necklace, ring or boots. 

Players can then spend points to customize the equipment of their choice fully, from the equipment set, main stats, sub stats and even down to the value of the sub stats. Points can be obtained through completing daily and weekly missions within the game in addition to spending certain amounts of stamina.

Special Limited Rate Up Banner - Custom Group Summoning Selection

During the event patch period, a special type of banner will be available for players to roll on - the special Custom Group Summoning Banner.

Custom Group Summoning Banner

The Custom Group Summoning system, in the simplest term, is a special banner system that allows you to spend your summoning currencies (bookmarks or bms for short) on 3 specific characters that you choose yourself from a select pool of characters.

The selection pool for the Custom Group Summoning system consists of Limited Characters, Permanent Characters and their unique Artifacts. When selecting a character, you will have both the character and their artifact rated up, for a total of 3 characters and 3 artifacts rated up in 1 banner.

If you were to summon a 5* character or artifact while summoning on this banner, they will be guaranteed to be 1 of the 3 characters or artifacts that you have chosen. In addition, for every roll, you gain 1 star coin and after rolling for 120 times, you will be able to directly recruit 1 of the 3 characters to your roster with 120 star coins.

Should You Pull

Yes, you should. This banner is one of the few banners that players can obtain multiple limited heroes that are only available previously in the game, so it is important for players to attempt to roll this banner if they don’t have certain limited characters in the game.
