Continuing its traditional updates schedule of 1.5 months intervals, Punishing Gray Raven’s Global Server introduces a brand new update in the form of Reveries with a Whale - with a brand new extra chapter story, a new character interludes, an event with farming stages and an event shop, and finally, brand new characters and CUB - the S Rank Uniframe Construct Pulao: Dragontoll and the A rank CUB Thorny .

Punishing Gray Raven Reveries With A Whale Update 

Punishing Gray Raven’s brand new Reveries with a Whale update can be divided into 3 different sections - the Extra Story Chapter, the New Characters Interludes and special challenge and farming stages in addition to an event shop

Extra Story Chapter

Available from this update onwards, the newly introduced Extra Story Chapter - Reveries with a Whale allows players to go through the events leading up to the introduction and subsequent joining of Pulao: Dragontoll into the Gray Raven squad. Go through the extra story chapter and obtain many valuable materials for character upgrading and special currencies for gacha in the game.

There are 2 difficulties for the Extra story chapter - Normal and Hidden with the Hidden difficulty requiring players to invest heavily into their characters so be sure to be prepared for this challenge. In addition, players will have the chance to obtain Pulao: Dragontoll for free when playing through this new story chapter.

New Characters Interludes Chapters

During the Update duration, a new character interludes chapter will be available for all players that are lv 40 and above and have access to character interludes.

Clearing these character interludes provides players with extra background information for the new character introduced during this Update - Pulao: Dragontoll. In addition, playing the interlude chapters allow players to playtest the new characters of this update, allowing them to have a better understanding of their playstyles and help decide if you should roll for the new characters.

 

Clearing these Character Interlude Chapters also reward players with a lot of gacha currencies, so make sure to clear them while they are available during this Update since once this Update has 

passed, you will need to own the characters to access these Interlude Chapters again.

Special Event Farming Stages

In addition to brand new permanent contents added into the game like the story chapter and the character interludes, we also receive Event Specific Farming Stages that only last during the Update period and will be gone forever after the update has ended.

Farming these stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Brand New Set of Memories and special event exclusive items.

Farming the Special Event stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Memories.

Players should prioritize getting the event exclusive 6* Memories for Pulao: Dragontoll from the event shop first and foremost as they cost a large amount of event currencies. Once players have exchanged for all of the shards, players then can priorities other upgrading materials such as EXP, Cogs Boxes, 6* Memories, etc.

 

It is also important to note that special Memories that suit Pulao: Dragontoll combat prowess will be discounted during the event’s period as well, so players should exchange 1 set of that special memories set in order to boost her combat capabilities.

Limited Time Banner - Should You Roll

The highlight of the patch is the specially available banners for the new characters that is introduced in this Update - The 6* Physical Damage Oriented Uniframe Construct - Pulao: Dragontoll and the A Rank Construct CUB Thorny, each with their own power and special abilities that players will find interesting to play with.

A Rank CUB Thorny

The newly released CUB, Thorny is a physical oriented CUB with special abilities that inflicts damage to enemies proportional to damage being dealt to the active character equipped with this CUB. 

 

The main appeal of Thorny is that this CUB is an extremely rare CUB that has the ability to trigger its ability when the equipped construct is attacked by the enemy, dealing damage to enemies automatically without having to click special buttons to trigger their effects.

 

Thorny allows players to have a special way to deal extra physical damage to enemies when they play Tank characters, allowing the players to have more options to utilize while fighting boss enemies all the while dealing extra damage to those bosses whenever they are hit with attacks.

 

The best constructs to be paired with Thorny are Rosetta, tank constructs and other physical damage oriented constructs.

Pulao: Dragontoll

Pulao: Dragontoll is a special uniframe S Rank Construct that specializes in dealing massive amounts of physical damage to large groups of enemies with her fists and her big ring that can be used to group up groups of enemies for easier moves and damage.

Pulao: Dragontoll skill kit is quite unique in that she essentially relies on 2 different modes of fighting in order to deal damage to enemies, her melee mode with her fists and her ranged mode with her special blade ring active when she gathers enemies. Pulao’s main fighting mode is her fist and it consists mainly of 3 different moves corresponding with her 3 colored orbs combo. When her orbs are pinged, she will perform a sequence of strikes against the enemy in front of her, dealing physical damage and stunning the enemies for a short period of time, and deal increasing damage and stun time the more orbs are pinged. When using these moves, Pulao will accumulate a special gauge that can be used for her special blade ring mode.

Pulao’s Blade Ring is a special move that she can use whenever she has accumulated enough energy. Once triggered, she will launch the blade ring towards the group of enemies, dealing massive amounts of physical damage to them and group them together. The blade ring will stay at the spot where she throws it and constantly deal damage on the field. While it is active, pulao can use the ultimate skill button to recover the ring and launch it again at the enemy to extra damage and special crowd control.

 

Once her blade ring meter reaches maximum energy, Pulao can then hold the ultimate skill button to trigger her ultimate skill, sucking all enemies around her and use her blade ring to deal a massive blow of damage instantly, stunning them in the process.

Should You Pull

Yes, you should. With the brand new update to the Uniframe system, players can now place Uniframe Constructs and Normal Constructs together to form a team, making Pulao a very distinct and useful Construct to have as an Physical DPS option overall. In addition, due to her nature as a Uniframe Construct, players will be able to get her in a single multi pull, helping players to not spend too much resources to get a useful construct for future contents.
