Continuing its traditional updates schedule of 1.5 months intervals, Punishing Gray Raven’s Global Server introduces a brand new update to celebrate its 2.5 anniversary event in the form of Renaissance du Fantastique - with a brand new extra chapter story, a new character interludes, an event with farming stages, an event shop, special upgrades for old Constructs, and finally, a brand new character - the S Rank Ice Amplifier Omniframe Construct - Ayla: Kaleido

Punishing Gray Raven Renaissance du Fantastique Update 

Punishing Gray Raven’s brand new Renaissance du Fantastique update can be divided into 3 different sections - the Extra Story Chapter, the New Characters Interludes and special challenge and farming stages in addition to an event shop.

Extra Story Chapter

Available from this update onwards, the newly introduced Extra Story Chapter - Renaissance du Fantastique allows players to go through the events leading up to the introduction and subsequent joining of Ayla: Kaleido into the Gray Raven squad. Go through the extra story chapter and obtain many valuable materials for character upgrading and special currencies for gacha in the game.

There are 2 difficulties for the Extra story chapter - Normal and Hidden with the Hidden difficulty requiring players to invest heavily into their characters so be sure to be prepared for this challenge.

New Characters Interludes Chapters

During the Update duration, a new character interludes chapter will be available for all players that are lv 40 and above and have access to character interludes.

Clearing these character interludes provides players with extra background information for the new character introduced during this Update. In addition, playing the interlude chapters allow players to playtest the new characters of this update, allowing them to have a better understanding of their playstyles and help decide if you should roll for the new characters.

 

Clearing these Character Interlude Chapters also reward players with a lot of gacha currencies, so make sure to clear them while they are available during this update since once this Update has passed, you will need to own the characters to access these Interlude Chapters again.

Special Event Farming Stages

In addition to brand new permanent contents added into the game like the story chapter and the character interludes, we also receive Event Specific Farming Stages that only last during the Update period and will be gone forever after the update has ended.

Farming these stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Brand New Set of Memories and special event exclusive items.

Special Event Shop

Farming the Special Event stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Memories.

Players should prioritize getting the event exclusive 6* Memories for Ayla: Kaleido from the event shop first and foremost as they cost a large amount of event currencies. Once players have exchanged for all of the shards, players then can priorities other upgrading materials such as EXP, Cogs Boxes, 6* Memories, etc.

 

It is also important to note that special Memories that suit Ayla: Kaleido combat prowess will be discounted during the event’s period as well, so players should exchange 1 set of that special memory set in order to boost her combat capabilities.

Special Anniversary 100% S Rank Construct Rate Up Banner 

Together with the anniversary event, players will be able to partake in a special choose your own S Rank Construct banner where they will be able to roll for and guarantee a special S Rank Construct of their own choice once they get a S Rank Construct from the banner. 

This banner will feature all limited S Rank Constructs aside from collaboration ones, so players can essentially get all S Rank Constructs in the game through this banner if they are willing to spend enough.

Special Dorm Dispatch Update

Finally, with the 2.5 Anniversary update patch, a special brand new Dorm Dispatch mission system will be available for all players to use once they have unlocked the dorm system in the game.

With this Dispatch mission function, players can send their constructs on special dispatch missions to obtain special currencies to exchange for special items in the dorm shop, including 50 shards of the S Rank Construct Ayla: Kaleido, meaning once you have accumulated enough currencies, you can get the S Rank Construct Ayla: Kaleido for free.

With the release of the Renaissance du Fantastique Update Patch of Punishing Gray Raven, players will have the chance to obtain a brand new S Rank Construct - the S Rank Ice Amplifier Omniframe Construct - Ayla: Kaleido

Ayla: Kaleido

Ayla: Kaleido is a 6* S Rank Omniframe Construct of the Amplifier class that massively boost the power of Ice Elemental teams. Ayla: Kaleido's main strong point lies in her ability to massively boost their damage output in addition to healing all allies with her powerful brush-like moves and abilities.

Ayla: Kaleido is a unique Construct in that all of her attacks and orb pings are color coded to their corresponding Colored Orbs, making it so that she will paint that color onto the enemies when she attacks. This allows her to use different combos by using different color combinations, enabling various beneficial effects based on the color mix to herself and the team. This combo mechanic makes her a very versatile character to use, but it also makes her extremely powerful.

 

When Ayla: Kaleido does her special color mix combos, she will gain special armor, allowing her to become extremely tanky and let her tank enemies’ attacks with ease. In addition, with the right color combination, players can grant various effects to allies, including healing and improving the team’s Ice damage output.

 

Finally, Ayla: Kaleido has 2 different modes to her special ultimate skill. Once she has accumulated enough energy, players can use her ultimate move, allowing to paint over the entire field with her special Paint filled world and dealing massive amounts of Ice elemental damage to all within her field, with the move completely stopping the time countdown as well. In addition, while in her paint world, all of her orbs will be rearranged into 3 Orbs pings, allowing her to use her skill combos more effectively. Once players have exit out of her paint world, Ayla: Kaleido will use her 2nd mode ultimate, dealing a massive amounts of Ice elemental damage to all enemies in front of her

Should You Roll

It depends. Since you get the S Rank Construct for free if you are patient enough with the Dispatch Mission Dorm Function, unless you want to increase Ayla: Kaleido’s rarity, rolling for her is not really necessary.
