Continuing its traditional updates schedule of 1.5 months intervals, Punishing Gray Raven’s Global Server introduces a brand new update in the form of Recitativo di Fantasia - with a brand new extra chapter story, a new character interludes, an event with farming stages and an event shop, and finally, brand new characters and CUB - the S rank Amplifier Construct Selena: Capriccio and the S rank CUB Boreas .

Punishing Gray Raven Recitativo di Fantasia Update

Punishing Gray Raven’s brand new Recitativo di Fantasia update can be divided into 3 different sections - the Extra Story Chapter, the New Characters Interludes and special challenge and farming stages in addition to an event shop

Extra Story Chapter

Available from this update onwards, the newly introduced Extra Story Chapter - Recitativo di Fantasia allows players to go through the events leading up to the introduction and subsequent joining of Selena: Capriccio into the Gray Raven squad. Go through the extra story chapter and obtain many valuable materials for character upgrading and special currencies for gacha in the game.

There are 2 difficulties for the Extra story chapter - Normal and Hidden with the Hidden difficulty requiring players to invest heavily into their characters so be sure to be prepared for this challenge. In addition, players will have the chance to obtain Selena: Capriccio for free when playing through this new story chapter.

New Characters Interludes Chapters

During the Update duration, a new character interludes chapter will be available for all players that are lv 40 and above and have access to character interludes.

 

Clearing these character interludes provides players with extra background information for the new character introduced during this Update - Selena: Capriccio. In addition, playing the interlude chapters allow players to playtest the new characters of this update, allowing them to have a better understanding of their playstyles and help decide if you should roll for the new characters.

Clearing these Character Interlude Chapters also reward players with a lot of gacha currencies, so make sure to clear them while they are available during this Update since once this Update has 

passed, you will need to own the characters to access these Interlude Chapters again.

Special Event Farming Stages

In addition to brand new permanent contents added into the game like the story chapter and the character interludes, we also receive Event Specific Farming Stages that only last during the Update period and will be gone forever after the update has ended.

 

Farming these stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Brand New Set of Memories and special event exclusive items.

Farming the Special Event stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Memories.

 

Players should prioritize getting the event exclusive 6* Memories for Selena: Capriccio from the event shop first and foremost as they cost a large amount of event currencies. Once players have exchanged for all of the shards, players then can priorities other upgrading materials such as EXP, Cogs Boxes, 6* Memories, etc.

 

It is also important to note that special Memories that suit Selena: Capriccio combat prowess will be discounted during the event’s period as well, so players should exchange 1 set of that special memories set in order to boost her combat capabilities.

Limited Time Banner - Should You Roll

The highlight of the patch is the specially available banners for the new characters that is introduced in this Update - The 6* Dark Elemental Selena: Capriccio and the S Rank Construct CUB Boreas, each with their own power and special abilities that players will find interesting to play with.

S Rank CUB Boreas

CUB Boreas is an S Rank CUB of the Ice element and is the CUB best associated with the S Rank construct Chrome and is his signature supplemental CUB that boosts his and Ice elemental constructs combat abilities.

The CUB’s skills change depending on the element of the user and will offer different types of buffs depending on the element of the Constructs equipped with it. However, Borea’s skills will be further enhanced when equipped to Ice Elemental Heroes, providing them with Ice buffs that boost their damage potential in addition to boosting their damage against Frozen enemies in the field.

 

Furthermore, Boreas can be used in battles to deal extra damage to enemies on the field once its gauge has been filled up, dealing a massive amount of Ice elemental damage to enemies and inflicting Freeze status on enemies that are attacked.

Selena: Capriccio

Selena: Capriccio is the 2nd Amplifier Constructs to be released after the release of Liv: Empyrea and is one of the most powerful supporting Dark constructs currently in the game with the ability to support Dark elemental damage output of other Dark Constructs in the team in addition to dealing a moderate amount of damage to enemies in surrounding areas.

Selena:Capriccio’s 3 Colors Pings all do the same thing with their ability to deal damage to enemies proportionally to the number of orbs pinged at the same time, converting the damage to Dark elemental damage upon pinging 3 orbs of the same colors at once and dealing damage in an area of effect.

What makes Selena:Capriccio unique is her special passive that allows her to essentially summon a special phantom as her aid, the phantom will acts just like Selena: Capriccio and do her normal skills from her orbs, all the while Selena: Capriccio will enter a special Shooting star stage, dealing massive amount of Dark elemental damage and summoning Phantoms if their duration have expired.

Selena’s ultimate skill grants her a massive 50% damage decrease, allowing her guaranteed survival during the skill’s duration and grants her the Shooting Star Stage. During this stage, whenever she deals damage, she will gain 1 phantom to attack with her, dashing and dealing damage to the enemy. Once the 5 stacks of Shooting Star are consumed, Selena and all of her phantoms (up to 5) will do a coordinated attack on the enemy target, dealing massive amounts of damage to them and healing allies within her range of 30% of her attack power.

Should You Pull

No, You Shouldn’t. While Selena is one of the best construct in the game of the dark element, she is available for all players to grab during the patch update through a permanent gamemode and will eventually be granted to all players if they have farmed the gamemode enough, therefore, rolling for Selena: Capriccio is not recommended unless you intend on getting her stats and rank to higher.

 

In addition, while the S Rank CUB Boreas is the best CUB for ice elemental heroes, rolling for CUB specifically is not recommended unless you have resources to spare, therefore, players should save their resource during this update patch for the future characters and CUB.
