Nier Reincarnation is a cohesive game with a captivating story and is also known for its end-game material. This guide should help you understand everything you need to do in the late game alongside advanced strategies that'll help you excel in doing just that.

 

Overview:

 

Nier Reincarnation is not a character collector. It is a weapon collector and players that like the look of weapons or want a different weapon for every situation or for those who enjoy team building, the advanced / end game part of the game is definitely for you.

 

Late Game PvP:

 

 

First of all, let's talk about PvP. While not everyone is keen on PvP, you put a team together and fight against other player-created teams, raise your rank and get rewards at the end of the season. It is unlocked after completing the story.

 

Stories themselves now have hard versions of quests which means there are new quests that give you a lot more gems for the first time clear. They are also the best place to farm for unit experience materials. You can also get the Chapter Ticket which you can use to pull in the Chapter Hatcher. From there, you can get materials to raise the levels of your floating buddies, or you can get more spiral candies. That's what they are mostly good for.

 

There are dungeons in the game present in sub-quests. These are some of the highest difficulty content in the game. However, if you play them, you can farm memories that are minor buffs you can put on your team. There are also character quests to go through and get awakening materials for handout characters since they do not drop from the hatchers.

Perhaps the true end game option present in the game is the Black Layer or the Super Character Quest. When you beat the bosses of the hard versions of the story quests, you will get special weapons. Unlike other weapons, these have a third icon in the armory, indicating their strength and specialty.

 

 

After you unlock the Black Layer quests, you will need over 60,000 party ranking to beat these. If you max any special weapons, they will be extremely powerful and perhaps be the best in the game. Anyone, paid or free can mix them. They need materials to awaken. You can get them In the following ways:

 

• Exchange in the Black Layer Shop: Go to the trade area at the bottom, get black layer coins, and get the item you want.
• Arena Shop: Go to the arena shop and get the materials you need.

While the quest will drop very rare awakening materials, it can only be played once per day.

 

Perhaps the item which players are focusing on right now is the lavender cube which is super rare as it is needed to fully awaken the special weapons. It can be purchased for about 100,000 black layer coins, which seems quite unreasonable and unattainable.

 

The cube itself has a drop rate of 0.1%, which means you'll need to grind forever to buy the cube whatever or keep grinding and pulling to get a cube. Although no one in the game has done this yet, if you max the weapon, you will also unlock a different costume for your use.

 

Going For The Story:

 

If you’ve been playing the game for a long time, you'll soon realize that Nier Reincarnation's story is the stuff of dreams. However, there comes the debate. Is the end game content, such as the battle and dungeons, actually worth it, or should you just stick to the story?

 

 

In most cases, you'll end up realizing that the game has tons of content besides the story. However, if you are a fan of it, you'll have to wait a month or so before the next chapters of the story are released. Meanwhile, most players leave the game or just quit altogether in anticipation of the next story.

 

As mentioned above, PvP is one aspect of the game that’s extremely fun and keeps you hooked. With the ability to progressively increase your rank as time goes on, you will soon find out that the ranked matchmaking system is quite enjoyable and helps you play the story mode quests even better.

 

Dungeons:

 

Dungeons are another aspect of the game that have a lot of time and effort put into them. As mentioned earlier, it is the hardest late-game content present in the game. As such, you can expect only the highest levels of gameplay from it at every stage.

 

To complete a dungeon quest successfully, you will have to grind a lot. The Arena:

 

The Arena is one of the most fun parts of the end game. This is where you fight parties set by others in your defense settings and try to aim for the top rank. You can get arena points by taking down the party of the opponent.

 

 

Your rank in the Arena will increase according to the arena points you gain. If you win in the Arena, you will get more points, and if you lose, they will go down. Since you are allowed to choose your opponent to a particular extend, it is quite important to identify the opponent to win. Stamina is not consumed to challenge the Arena, but BP points are consumed. BP points will not be displayed on the normal screen, but they will be displayed when you enter the Arena.

 

Do note that BP will recover the same time as stamina which is one stamina every three minutes. It is also possible to recover instantly with gems and other recovery items too. You can also earn a weekly award and a seasonal reward every three months completely based on your rank.

 

These Arena coins can only be obtained as weekly rewards and ranking rewards for Arena's content that pits you in a fight against other players. You can get more arena coins even in lower rankings. So, participate as much as possible without giving up.

 

Is The End Game Worth It?

 

If you don't have a lot of time on your hands, playing the chapter every month is more than enough fun. However, if you are a fan of the game and want to see everything the game offers, going for the end game is worth it as there's a lot of content and replay value with an exclusive content present for each game mode that you unlock after completing the story.

 

 

So, in hindsight, the end game is worth it! You'll learn a lot more about the game and will be able to excel as there is a progression path waiting for you. However, if you go for the PvE or PvP aspect of the game (dungeon or Arena) is a choice that is completely left to you.
