Honkai Star Rail - Silver Wolf VS Luocha - Who To Pull For

With the Version 1.1 update patch - Galactic Roaming for Honkai Star Rail, brand new characters have been introduced and will be released for a limited time during the patch’s duration only. These characters are the 5* Quantum Nihility Silver Wolf and the 5* Imaginary Abundance Luocha. Due to the shortage of players’ resources and the amounts of pulls necessary to get one of these characters, it is important to determine which of the 2 5*s are worth rolling for in this update patch and which one should players attempt to roll for.

 

In this guide, we will go over the details and capabilities of these 2 brand new 5* characters as they were shown in game through the game’s trial battles and debate whether or not players should roll on either of the banners available for rolling in this 1.1 Update Patch for Silver Wolf and Luocha. Honkai Star Rail - Version 1.1 Featured Banners - What to Expect

During the 1.1 version update, players will be treated with 2 brand new banners featuring the 2 brand new 5* characters released during the update patch - Silver Wolf and Luocha. These 2 banners will be in sequence and only 1 banner will be rated up at a time.

 

Silver Wolf’s banner will be the first banner - Available after the update patch and lasting for 21 days. This Banner will feature the 5* character Silver Wolf and the 4* characters Dan Heng, Asta and Serval.

Luocha ‘s banner will be the second banner - available for 21 days after the Silver Wolf Banner and lasting until the end of the update patch. This banner will feature the 5* character Luocha and the 4* characters Yukong, Quinque and Pela.

Silver Wolf

Silver Wolf is a character of the Quantum element that followed the path of Nihility, the path where characters rely heavily on their ability to debuff enemies in order to enhance the entire team’s damage. Silver Wolf’s capability lies in her ability to not only debuff enemies with powerful defense down debuffs but also making the enemies weak to one of the elemental damage dealt by one of her team members.

Silver Wolf skill allows her to inflict a special debuff on the enemy - Weakness Impairment - making the enemy weak to a specific elemental type of attacks that one of her teammates deal. This effect allows her to make it so that enemies that normally resist certain specific elemental types of damage will now be weak to them. Furthermore, she will also reduce the enemies’ elemental resistance to the specific element inflicted by Weakness Impairment, making them take extra damage from that element.

Silver Wolf’s ultimate allows her to deal damage to 1 enemy and inflict them with entanglement, limiting their combat ability and delaying their action. The more debuffs the enemy has on them, the more Quantum elemental damage she will deal.

Luocha

Luocha is a character of the Imaginary Element and follows the path of Abundance, the path of characters that specializes in healing others. Luocha is a unique character in that his abilities, while typical for a healer character, are dependent on his attack stats and not his max HP like other healers.

Luocha’s is an offensive healer character with the ability to heal characters on demand and the ability to deal damage to all enemies and drain their life force. Luocha’s skill is your typical healer skill with the ability to heal 1 ally on demand, the healing amount is proportional to his own attack stat. 

 

When Luocha has attacked the enemy enough time or when he has healed allies enough time, he will activate his special talent and unleash a special field buff. While this field buff is active, any attacks from allies will heal that ally proportional to the damage they dealt to the enemy, effectively serving as a way for allies to constantly heal themselves.

 

Luocha’s ultimate allows him to deal massive amounts of Imaginary damage to all enemies, reducing their HP and removing 1 of each enemies’ buffs.

Silver Wolf Signature Light Cone

Silver Wolf’s signature 5* Light Cone is a 5* Nihility Light Cone that enhances the users’ affect hit rate by up to 24%. In addition, for each debuff inflicted upon the enemy, the wearer’s critical rate will also increase up to 12%.

After the wearer has used their attack, skill or ultimate, the enemy will be inflicted with a special debuff that increases damage taken by them by an additional 12%. This Light cone is the perfect light cone for Nihility characters as it not only helps to improve the chance of landing debuffs, It also improves the damage dealt by other characters in the team.

Luocha Signature Light Cone

Luocha’s signature 5* Light Cone is a 5* Abundance Light Cone that increases the wearer’s attack stat by up to 24%. In addition, once the character has used their ultimate, the entire party’s speed will be increased by up to 12 SPD for 1 turn, allowing them to take action faster.

In addition, for each of the wearer’s attacks, they will generate 3 energies for each enemy hit during the attack, up to 9 energies per attack. This Light Cone is one of the more powerful light cones for Abundance characters with its ability to buff the entire team’s ability and help to generate energy for the user. However, its stat only increases the wearer’s Attack, which aside from Luocha who scales his heal amounts off Attack, is not beneficial to any other healers as of now.

Silver Wolf VS Loucha Banners - Who Should You Pull For

4 Stars Characters and Light Cones

For the 4 stars characters on Silver Wolf and Loucha banners, the difference is power isn’t that strong, with fairly powerful 4* characters being available for both banners. However, it is important to note that the brand new 4* character of the patch - Yukong is only available on Luocha’s banner.

 

If it is solely dependant on the 4* characters of each banner, it is highly recommended that players roll on the Luocha banner to get the brand new character of Yukong.

 

As for their signature Light Cones, having them can massively boost the power of either the characters, however, they only serve to strengthen the characters’ already powerful skills and are not necessary if you don’t have enough resources to roll for them.

Silver Wolf VS Luocha

Between Silver Wolf and Luocha, the determining factor players should consider when rolling on either banner is what the player currently needs. In terms of utility and long term investment, Silver Wolf is one of, if not, the best debuffer in the game with her abilities that can help players clear stages easily. However, there are only 2 healers currently in the game and one of them is extremely difficult to get, so rolling for Luocha as an additional healer character is also important.

 

Players should consider their preference in character designs, gameplay and abilities of these two characters carefully in relation to their character roster in order to determine who to roll for. However, if it is purely for gameplay sake, rolling for Silver Wolf is more beneficial in the long term.
