Honkai Star Rail - Imbibitor Lunae VS Fu Xuan - Who Should You Roll For

With the Honkai Star Rail version 1.3 update patch quickly approaching for all players this upcoming end of August, players are extremely excited for the brand new characters that will be introduced and coming to special rate up banners this update patch, with the introduction and inclusion of 3 brand new characters - the 5* Imaginary Destruction Character - Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng, the 5* Quantum Preservation Character - Fu Xuan and the 4* Quantum Abundance Character - Lynx.

Honkai Star Rail - Version 1.3 Featured Banners - What to Expect

During the 1.3 version update, players will be treated with 2 brand new banners featuring the 2 brand new 5* characters released during the update patch - Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng and Fu Xuan. These 2 banners will be in sequence and only 1 banner will be rated up at a time.

 

Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s banner will be the first banner - Available after the update patch and lasting for 21 days. This Banner will feature the 5* character Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng and the 4* characters Yukong, March 7th and Asta.

Fu Xuan‘s banner will be the second banner - available for 21 days after the Blade Banner and lasting until the end of the update patch. This banner will feature the 5* character Fu Xuan and the brand new 4* characters Lynx, the 4* Hook and Pela.

Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng

Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng is a 5* Imaginary Elemental Character that follows the Destruction Path that specializes in dealing massive amounts of Imaginary damage to up to 3 enemies at a time using his normal attacks by enhancing these normal attacks to extreme levels using both his skill and ultimate.

Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s strong point lies in his unique skill, which can be used by players up to 3 times to enhances the level of Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s normal attacks level, allowing him to apply different effects on his normal attacks based on the the level the players enhanced. When using his skill once, his normal attack will reach level 1 and will deal Imaginary damage to 1 enemy and consume 1 skill point. When used 2 times, his normal attack will now be at level 2 and deal multiple hit attacks to 1 enemy and 2 enemies adjacent to the target and consume 2 skill points. Finally, when his skill is used 3 times, his normal attack will reach level 3, consuming 3 skill points to use and will deal massive multi attacks damage to 3 enemies, with later attacks dealing additional critical damage to the target.

 

To offset Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s skill point cost, players can use his Ultimate, which deal a massive amount of Imaginary damage to all enemies  on the field and grant him up to 3 special “Scales” buffs, which can be used to offset his normal attack skill cost by one point for each scale.

 

Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng is an extremely powerful DPS character of the Imaginary Element that is very simple in nature and can be effectively used to deal massive amounts of damage, suitable for players who need a DPS character.

Fu Xuan

Fu Xuan is a 5* Quantum Elemental character that follows the path of preservation. She specializes in mitigating incoming damage to all allies by redirecting the damage to herself and grants allies many useful and powerful buffs while she is on the field, allowing the team to perform better both offensively and defensively.

Fu Xuan’s skill kit is extremely simple, with her skill allowing her to grant the entire team a special 2 turns buff that reduces the damage taken by all allies except herself by redirecting all of those damage onto Fu Xuan, in addition to granting the entire party healing and crit rate increase buff. Coupled this with her talents, which grant the party increased Max HP proportional to Fu Xuan’s own Max HP and allow the party to mitigate debuffs for a set amount of times, making Fu Xuan an extremely powerful character that buffs the entire team very well.

 

Fu Xuan’s ultimate deals damage to all enemies on the field, inflicting Quantum damage on them proportional to the maximum amount of her HP, allowing her to deal decent damage as long as her Max HP is built high enough.

 

Fu Xuan is an extremely powerful character that can buff the entire team with powerful offensive and defensive buffs, suitable for players who want to roll for beneficial characters that enhance the entire team’s performances.

Imibitor Lunae Dan Heng VS Fu Xuan Banners - Who Should You Pull For

4 Stars Characters 

In terms of the 4* Characters presented for Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng and Fu Xuan banners, it is important to note that all of the 4 star characters that are rated up on these banners will not be limited and can be obtained at any time. Therefore, it is important to see which of the 4 stars selection are better:

 

For Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s banner, the selection of 4 stars are extremely good to have as all of the rated up 4 stars are characters that buff the entire team’s combat abilities with offensive and defensive buffs and are extremely valuable to have.

 

For Fu Xuan’s banner, the selection is more tame when compared to Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng’s banner, however, her banner does also rate up a brand new 4* character - Lynx, so players should take that into account.

In terms of the 5* characters that will be rated up during version 1.3 update patch, it is quite clear which characters will excel that what they do and which characters are designed with specific players in mind.

 

For players who are lacking in DPS options and are in dire need of strong DPS characters that can carry the damage for the entire team, Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng is the perfect choice as not only is his skill kit extremely simple and easy to use, his gear requirements aren’t that hard to fulfill even as new players.

 

On the other hand, for players who have already rolled for other DPS characters previously and have built suitable powerful DPS characters that will carry the team, rolling for Fu Xuan is a no brainer. Fu Xuan is an all in one powerful character that can boost the power of teams exponentially, therefore, having her will benefit players greatly in the long term as she can be used in any team comps.

 

If based purely on skill kit and long term investment , however, it is more beneficial for players to roll for Fu Xuan instead of Imbibition Lunae Dan Heng as support characters are more valuable than DPS characters in the long term.
