Epic Seven End Of July Hero Balance Update Patch - What To Expect

With the update coming to Epic Seven this end of july, a variety of heroes will receive special skill changes and gameplay mechanic updates. With this rendition of Epic Seven, a total of 5 5* heroes have experienced changes to their kit, some are major changes to how their kit work and some or minor adjustments to their kit in order to make them easier to use or to strengthen their PvE and PvP capabilities.

Of the 5 5* heroes, 2 of them are Moonlight heroes and 3 are normal Covenant Heroes.

Ruele Of Light

Ruele of Light is a 5* Light Soul Weaver Hero with extremely high bulk and tankiness and one of the few heroes with the ability to revive dead allies once they have been defeated by the enemy. Historically, Ruele of Light has been a soul weaver unit with good abilities but severely lacking in terms of team utility and healing aside from her revival effect. With this buff to her kit, she can now provide better utility to the team overall and help to boost the team’s combat abilities with her skills.

Ruele of Light received 2 buffs in total to her skills, 1 for her 1st skill which greatly enhances her healing amounts when attacking an enemy and healing an ally, this helps to provide the team with more survivability and help to prolong the fight. Ruele of Light’s 2nd skill also receives a buff in the form of a 25% combat readiness increase for herself whenever she uses this skill, allowing her to take turns more quickly when healing other allies with her 2nd skill and help to cut down on her downtime, allowing her to become a more reliable healer and team reviver when needs be.

Lionheart Cermia

Lionheart Cermia is a 5* Light Warrior hero that specializes in increasing her own defensive stats and uses that defensive stat to deal massive amounts of damage to all enemies proportional to her own defense, allowing her to pierce the enemy’s defense and sweep the entire enemy’s team in 1 attack. Before the buff, Lionheart Cermia has been a long staple in the meta and with the brand new buff, she will become even more powerful.

Lionheart Cermia has received two very simple but effective buffs to her kit, allowing her to become a monster when used correctly. Lionheart Cermia’s 2nd skill passive talent now grants her an extra 25% combat readiness increase whenever she activates her passive skill, allowing her to move faster and deal better damage. Furthermore, Cermia’s 3rd skill will now deal even more damage with its damage modifiers being buffed, allowing her to sweep the enemy team with relative ease.

Haste

Haste is a 5* Fire Thief hero that specializes in inflicting multiple different debuffs on enemies, hindering their combat ability and healing himself with his attacks. Haste has historically been a very bad character to use, even at the start of the game and has received upward to 4 different buffs to his kit. However, perhaps this time his kit might be buffed to be usable in more stages in PvE and PvP in general.

Haste’s buffs this time around are quite fundamental in nature and don't change much in terms of his utility to the team. With this new buff, when Haste is using his 1st skill, he will have a 50% chance to inflict 2 turns defense break to enemies, allowing allies to deal more damage to the enemy thanks to the debuff, which is quite useful for contents like Golem hunt. Furthermore, his 2nd skills’ cooldown has also been reduced, allowing him to use it more often to inflict debuffs on the enemy and help the team with decent damage and debuffs.

Tenebria

Tenebria is a 5* Fire Mage Hero, who, similar to Haste, is a prime hero with the ability to sabotage the enemy team by applying various debuffs to the enemies, hindering their combat abilities and applying special debuffs to them in order to help the team with their damage potential and survivability. With her new buffs, she has become more consistent for both PvE and PvP contents.

Tenebria’s buff grants her 2nd skill a brand new debuff to hinder the enemy’s movement - Restrict, preventing the enemy from obtaining combat readiness from any sources and greatly decreasing their abilities to take consistent turns to deal damage. Furthermore, her 3rd skill has also received a cooldown reduction, allowing her skill to be used more often against all enemies.

Mortelix

Mortelix is a 5* Earth knight hero that specializes in granting himself and the team special buffs whenever he is attacked by the enemy and counter attacking with devastating attacks of his own. With the new buff, his special passive will now become more consistent and will help him greatly when attempting to buff allies with special beneficial buffs.

With the new buff to his 2nd passive, when attacking an enemy and dealing critical hit damage to them, Mortelix will now have a 100% chance to grant all allies 1 turn critical hit resistance up and speed increase, allowing them to become faster and more durable for long fights. Furthermore, his 3rd skill will also receive a 1 turn Cooldown reduction, allowing him to use his skill more often to deal damage to all enemies in his way and granting himself the Enrage unique buff to counter attack against enemies.

Special Limited Rate Up Banner - Should You Roll

With the second part of the summer event comes the 2nd limited banner for Epic Seven featuring the brand new limited hero - the 5* Ice Warrior Lethe

Lethe

Lethe is a 5* Ice Warrior hero with a unique never before seen kit that allows her to inflict enemies with a special unremovable debuff called Omen, which will allow her to deal massive amounts of damage to them with her extra attack when the debuff reaches 3 stacks.

Lethe’s strengh lies in her special 2nd skill passive, which allows her to inflict the special debuff Omen on enemies regardless of whether the attack successfully hit or not. When using her normal attack against enemies with 3 stacks of Omens, Lethe will be able to initiate a special extra attack that deals massive amounts of damage to 1 enemy, with damage increasing proportional to her own max HP.

Should You Roll

Yes, you should. Not only is Lethe a limited hero, making her extremely valuable, she is also one of the most unique and powerful heroes in terms of her utility and damage potential in the new meta in the game, so having her will benefit players greatly.
