Echocalypse: The Scarlet Covenant - Game Review & Gacha Rates

In a world where peace has always reigned, everything is engulfed by great destruction. Strange crystals with immense powers begin to appear on Earth, capable of fusing various elements together. This is where our adventure in Echocalypse begins. Our protagonist, a young orphan, accompanied by his sister Rayna, is collecting crystals to sell in the market and survive when, at a certain point, Rayna becomes the target of mysterious assailants who want to kidnap her. Shortly thereafter, a great battle ensues, and we meet Horus, the captain of the Raspartan, an organization that seeks to abduct Rayna because she apparently is the reincarnation of their Deity. However, just before being captured, Rayna, in order to save her brother, somehow manages to completely merge her body with the crystals, becoming a giant crystal herself. From here, our journey begins in search of a way to return Rayna to normalcy and thus save our sister.

What is Echocalypse?

"Echocalypse" is a new strategic gacha game that will immerse players in the role of an orphan on a journey to save his sister. In the game, players will have the opportunity to engage in battles by forming a group of 6 characters. Each character belongs to a faction (Empire, Bifrost, Eastrise, Nebu), has a class (Tank, DPS, Healer, Control, Support), and deals either Physical or Magical damage. The game offers various types of content to explore. Among the PvE content, there is the main story called "Expedition", where players experience the adventure of the world of Echocalypse. Completing this story unlocks other content, earns account experience points, and more. Daily content includes activities such as "Abyssal Dive" to obtain equipment, the "Harvest" Daily Raid for acquiring Mission Data (exp Items), Neolith Matrices, and others, etc. There is also the "Regression" feature, allowing players to obtain character shards for enhancement, and the "Complex", where players can decorate a home for their characters and engage in various activities. Additionally, the game includes PvP content like "Cage Fight", a battle against other players (controlled by AI) that allows players to climb the ranks and earn numerous rewards.

Game Content

Expedition

The “Expedition” is the main story in Echocalypse. We will have to face numerous chapters, almost always with 10 stages each, some against simple enemies and others against bosses. By completing the chapters, we will unlock a variety of in-game content. Additionally, we will obtain materials to enhance our characters and level them up, Iridimorphite, Permission Points (account level), and many other rewards. Once a stage is completed with a 3-star rating, we can use the Sweep function to replay it, skipping the entire fight. Moreover, from Chapter 3 onwards, we can also use the Skip function to bypass battles that are not Boss Fights.

Regression

The "Regression" game content allows us to explore side stories of certain characters. By completing various missions and battles, we will be able to obtain valuable rewards, including Bio Chips for our characters. Each day, we will have up to 10 entries available, which replenish over time. Once the entire Main Regression chapter is completed, we can also use Quick Battle to swiftly obtain the rewards of our interest.

Abyssal Dive

In the “Abyssal Dive” we must defeat the Abyss Amalgam on each level to proceed to the next one. Abyss restores every day returning to its original state. You can leave the abyss up to three times x day. If you fail the exploration after three times, exploration of the Abyss will be temporarily paused. 

Harvest

The “Harvest” content is divided into Training and Outfield that are always open, Excavate that is open on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and Ruin Raid that is open on Tue, Thur, Sat, Sun. Completing different modes give you rewards such as Mission Data, Neolith Matrices, Chimera Enhancement Materiales etc. 

Cage Fight

The “Cage Fight” is a PvP mode in which we can challenge other players' teams. By completing fights with a victory, points are earned, contributing to a higher rank. Losing a battle, however, does not result in point deduction. Each day, players can engage in up to 5 PvP battles. Additionally, a daily reward will be sent via mail based on the current rank.

Characters, Combat Gear & Neolith

Characters

To get the most out of our “Characters”, we need to consider various parameters and enhancements to make them stronger. Let's see how to achieve this:

Faction

• Deploying SSR characters of the same faction on the field grants a bonus to all characters in the team:

• 2 SSR = Atk +30

• 3 SSR = HP +3,300, Armor +5%

• 4 SSR = Def +130, Atk +5%

• 5 SSR = HP +6,700, Resistance +5%

• 6 SSR = ATK +440, HP +5%

Level Up

• Using mission data (exp items) allows us to advance the level of our characters, making them stronger.

Augmentation

• By using specific items obtained by completing stages in the Main Story, we can upgrade the grade of our characters, obtaining additional stats, new abilities, etc.

Breakthrough

• Through Breakthrough, using Bio Chips obtained from duplicates Characters, we can enhance the skills of our characters.

Combat Gear

Combat Gear is a crucial element for optimizing the power of our characters. There are various gear sets, but regardless of the set used, each piece must be enhanced to obtain better stats. Let's explore how to strengthen our characters:

Gear Sets

• Forerunner 2/3/4 Pieces = Attack +120 / Attack +3% / Crit +3% - Hit +3%

• Challenge 2/3/4 Pieces = Attack +375 / Attack +4% / Crit +4% - Hit +4%

• Bastion 2/3/4 Pieces = HP +7200 / HP +4% / Block +4% - Dodge +4%

Gear Pieces

• Shifter = Increase Resistance

• Rebirth = Increase HP

• Aegis = Increases Armor

• Sabre = Increase Attack

Gear Preparation

• Equipment can be enhanced by spending Tribute Points. The enhancement upper limit is 2 times the Permission Level.

Neolith

Not only our characters take the field, but also these special weapons called “Neolith”. New Neoliths can be obtained through the Gacha, and when acquiring new ones, they need to be enhanced to provide better support to our characters. Let's see how to make Neoliths more powerful:

Neolith Fragment

• Almost always, from the Neolith banner, we will obtain fragments. When we have a sufficiently high number of fragments, we can obtain a new Neolith.

Enhancement

• Using the Neolith matrix you are able to enhance the level of Neolith, getting massive stats bonuses. 

Breakthrough

• If you obtain enough Neolith fragments (dupes) you can use them to improve the Neolith Power by fusing them together.

Gacha Rates

Selected 10x Draws

The “Selected 10x Draws” Banner is a Special Banner that you unlock after completing Chapter 3 and cost nothing. You can draw up to 10 times for a Total of 100 Pull (10 x10 Pulls). Once you finish Chapter 7, you can choose among the 10 different results. Here’s the rates:

Characters

• SSR Characters = 1 SSR x Multi

• SR Characters = At least 1 SR x Multi

Elevating Command 

The “Elevating Command” Banner a “Rotating Up” Banner. In this banner you have a higher chance to draw the desidered rate Up Character. You can summon on this banner with “S Elementium” or Iridimorphite (1 / 10 S Elementium or 150 / 1500 Iridimorphite). Here’s the rates:

Echocalypse

• SSR Characters = 3% (40% Rate Up)

• SR Characters = 17.5%

• R Characters = 79.5%

Pity

• Every 10 time-limited Draws are guaranteed to yield at least 1 SR Character or above

• If 4 consecutive SSR Draws do not yield a limited rate up SSR, the next SSR Characters drawn is Guaranteed to be the  limited time rate up SSR Character.

• “Rotating Up” banner and the “Event Up” banner don't share the same Pity.

Up-Change Command

The “Up-Change Command” Banner is an “Event Up” Banner. In this banner you have a higher chance to draw the desidered rate Up Character. You can summon on this banner with “S Elementium” or Iridimorphite (1 / 10 S Elementium or 150 / 1500 Iridimorphite). Here’s the rates:

Echocalypse

Pity

Pity

• After the first time doing 10 Draws in this banner, you are Guaranteed to obtain 1 SSR Character. 

• Every 10 time-limited Draws are guaranteed to yield at least 1 SR Character or above

• After 100 Advanced Draws, Draw Calibration will be unlocked: you can select 1 Character, whose Draw rate will be increased to 30% of those of Characters of the same quality. You are Guaranteed to receive the selected calibration target within 5 draws (inclusive). Only 1 Draw Calibration x Day.

Daily 10x Draws

The “Daily 10x Draws” is a Daily Special Banner that you will receive for free everyday by logging in. In This banner you can obtain a variety of Characters, even SSR. You can only summon with Tickets you receive daily by playing. Here’s the rates:
