Spend cash on relevant upgrades first

You need to spend cash on them first before moving on to secondary upgrades. 

 

You need to micromanage your resources with care if you want your factory to run smoothly. Similar to pretty much every idle game out there, Coal Mining Inc. is a game where you must upgrade everything equally at some point for your factory to be balanced. Conversely, you may have to focus on the most important upgrades first.

 

For instance, the first gold mine you start with is very important. You should upgrade it well at first in order to increase the level of production and make sure there is enough capacity in the transport that can carry the coal to the crusher. 

 

The coin trading is one of the most important and most useful upgrades you can do because you get an increase in cash whenever an item is sold.

 

Unlock and upgrade managers early

You can assign as many as three managers to help you increase production time. Good managers are hard to get, considering how you'd have to spend up to 30-60 diamonds. But using managers from the free chest isn't bad either. 

 

Free chests are rewarded every 8 hours, and each one you open guarantees at least two managers. Having them doesn't bring massive change to your production line, but it's better than nothing, and you can actually upgrade them and turn them into valuable managers in no time. Aside from upgrading your managers very early, it is best to assign your best managers to the best factories too. 

 

If you upgrade a level 1 manager well enough, they can turn out more useful than an epic level manager. However, it'll be harder and more expensive to upgrade epic managers to such levels. 

 

 

Use the free Chopper rewards often

You will almost immediately notice a nice-looking red Chopper standing outside your office when you start this game. While you might think it's just standing there as a way to beautify your office, it actually has a purpose-a beneficial one, in fact.

 

If you tap on the Chopper, it will reward you with coins or cash, but often times you will have to watch a short ad to claim the reward. If you prefer a larger boost, you can decide to watch an ad for that as well. So if you're low on cash and resources, tapping on the Chopper and claiming its freebies won't hurt. 

 

 

Tap on the vehicles to speed them up

While this was actually showcased in the game's tutorial, some players might actually miss it or fail to get the point and just skim past it, but it's very important. You can tap on any moving vehicle carrying coal to speed them up. It helps because it adds a sort of boost to speed them up, allowing them to carry coal faster.

 

And the best part about this is that you don't even have to upgrade anything to use the feature. It's entirely free and easy to use. Simply tap on a moving vehicle and watch it speed up to its destination. 

 

 

Take advantage of the exorbitant Ads

One of the downsides of this game are the ads; they're simply everywhere you look. This is common for most idle typhoon games, but we've noticed that the Ads are just a bit much in this one. However, you can actually use these Ads to make loads of cash and earn free rewards. 

 

A lot of free gifts are just lying around in this game waiting to be claimed. If you play the game offline, you may not be able to claim them even if you tap on them. You may see a loading sign that is waiting for a cellular or Wi-Fi network. On the other hand, playing the game online gives you access to tons of rewards by simply watching Ads. 

 

So if you'd like to give yourself a head-start early on in this game, watching Ads, lots of Ads, is one of the best ways to do that. 

 

 

Unlock Side Machines to make extra cash

The rotary shaver and auto-drill are expensive to unlock. So if you're planning on buying one of them, it will drastically increase your income rate. It doesn't only increase the chain of drill vehicles and trucks, but it sends some coal your way as well. 

 

The side machines are more focused than regular ones, and they're reliable because neither you nor your managers have to pay too much attention to them when mining your coal. So if you don't really like the idea of tapping the vehicles as they move in order to increase their speed, you can purchase an auto marvel and just sit back. 

 

Spend some of those diamonds

Players are gradually rewarded with diamonds for completing missions and watching ads. While these diamonds can be hard to get at times and will make you feel like you ought to save them up as much as you can, you may really need to consider spending some of it. Diamonds can be used to do things that the cash from your coal mining can't be used for. 

 

You can use diamonds to purchase Time Advances and Epic Chests from the store. These are two of the most valuable items you can purchase with your diamonds, as they can boost your coal mining factory in pretty much every aspect. 

 

 

Time Advances - It is a mystery feature in the form of a watch that can speed up time in the game. Its purpose is to help you speed up the game time, which allows you to earn lots of cash in little time if you don't want to wait around. It is also useful if you want to get several investor offers at once or if you'd like to upgrade several types of equipment in a short time. 

 

Chests (as we have explained in our beginner's guide) come in three types: Free, Rare, and Epic Chests. Each of them contains manager cards. If you successfully get the indicated number of cards on a manager card, you will be able to hire them. Managers have special benefits that can improve the productivity of your factory in many ways. 

 

If you spend your diamonds on these two features, then it's okay, and remember, you can always get more diamonds by completing missions and watching ads. 

 

Complete Your Missions to Rank up

Completing missions in this game and every other game is what gives players a sense of purpose. Knowing you're actually playing towards achieving something in the end. It's the same with Coal Mining Inc. too. Completing missions and completing them fast lets you progress and rank up to getting tougher missions which keep the gameplay interesting.
