3/30/2022....The weather app works well and is accurate most of the time. The widget for Android is the best ever. More up front info than I have ever seen on any widget. Not fond of the radar. It's far from hi def.. Checked for rain and it showed rain band coming. Looked outside and it was pouring heavy rain. Probably about 6 minutes behind real time.
I love this weather app. Easy to understand, appealing design, it's fast and so far, very accurate. It's simple to see a full week of weather, and easy to see the highs/lows, chance of rain, add other locations etc. Not to mention both the app and widget have loaded instantly every time I need it. I think I got the ad-free version and I highly recommend it. Like, this loads and updates instantly. The default phone weather app takes way longer and doesn't look as nice.
The weather app for millennials, definitely should have tried before buying. Forecasts have been very hit and miss, last week we had several days with sporadic showers but no mention of rain in the forecast. The temperature forecast graph, shows a max and min which is great, but then displays it next to the other days of the week and is not referenced, so if a temperature range is lower than the previous days maximum it will appear cooler, even if the maximum is higher. Looks unnecessarily confusing, why can't we have a weekly range? Location bar at the top of the app takes up way too much screen real estate. Having the status bar toggle on sends notifications to my watch which isn't very pleasant during the evening when I'm trying to sleep - the notification toggle should turn this off but doesn't work. Rain radar hasn't worked for a few weeks, just a grey screen. And why can't we have some interpolation to smooth out the gradient on the radar? Might as well just use the (more reliable) BOM radar. Why no enhanced synoptic charts? Can glean so much information from them in a short period of time. Would mind some more detailed observations info - this is a weather app after all.
