Best app I ever purchased! Very useful, accurate and quite intuitive. I would like to encourage you to improve it, please find below some suggestions; 1- some improvements from design point of view to make it more user friendly. 2- to include a driving mode user interface. 3- To provide an option in the set up, that while driving the screen keeps autocentering in the way that you gsp coordinates are in the middle of the screen. 4- Give option of transparency from 0% up to 100% (now is just 0%-60%) 5- Regarding animation, give option that after it shows the whole sequence stops... does not start the animation again in a loop. Thanks for your good work!
Been using the paid version for about 2 years. Its pretty accurate with the range warnings. I work outside so this is an awesome heads up. Used on a few road trips and it helps with "forecasting" the intesity and coverage of moisture, this includes snow which helps a lot. After using it for a while, you get good at being able to tell the difference between light rain and "yeah, this picnic is a rap" My only issue is that the settings to get everything to your liking or needs are clunky.
Former Dark Sky user here trying to replicate the precipitation alert feature. I've tried a lot of apps but most rely on the Dark Sky API to provide that feature and those that didn't were just too heavyweight or awful in some way I couldn't get comfortable with. Rain Alarm though, it's exactly what I wanted. It focuses on providing the alert and does so with radar, which is the screen the app opens up to. That's great because Google Weather can provide me with all the forecasting data I need, it just lacks... radar and a precipitation alert. The configuration has a lot of variables that the user can adjust but the defaults work well right out of the box. The WearOS component (not mentioned in the description) is also pretty swank. Honestly $11 is a steal for this, since it works great, has a wonderful privacy policy, and is unobtrusive.
