Believing that the deen of Islam is the most correct and that others are wrong is an obligation agreed upon by all Muslims. Because there is no realm of intellectual ijtihad here. Islamic Sharia certainly never and will not be wrong.
This is very different from believing that our understanding of sharia is the most correct. Because human understanding with reason as a tool for understanding, never gets the facility of ismah (protected from mistakes) as obtained by the Prophets and Messengers. This understanding is known as fiqh1.
Ignorance of the difference between sharia as something revealed by Allah and fiqh as a product of the minds of the jurists in understanding this sharia, sometimes fuels conflicts that occur among Muslims. And the fire is getting hotter when the conflict is spiced up with fanaticism of excessive understanding.
Hopefully this application can be useful and become a loyal friend in the learning process at any time without having to be online.
