Punishing Gray Raven The Ark Beyond Update Patch Guide

Continuing its traditional updates schedule of 1.5 months intervals, Punishing Gray Raven’s Global Server introduces a brand new update in the form of The Ark Beyond - with a brand new extra chapter story, a new character interludes, an event with farming stages, an event shop, special upgrades for old Constructs, and finally, a brand new character  - the S Rank Ice Elemental Uniframe Construct - HAICMA: Starveil.

Punishing Gray Raven The Ark Beyond Update 

Punishing Gray Raven’s brand new The Ark Beyond update can be divided into 3 different sections - the Extra Story Chapter, the New Characters Interludes and special challenge and farming stages in addition to an event shop.

Extra Story Chapter

Available from this update onwards, the newly introduced Extra Story Chapter - The Ark Beyond allows players to go through the events leading up to the introduction and subsequent joining of HAICMA: Starveil into the Gray Raven squad. Go through the extra story chapter and obtain many valuable materials for character upgrading and special currencies for gacha in the game.

There are 2 difficulties for the Extra story chapter - Normal and Hidden with the Hidden difficulty requiring players to invest heavily into their characters so be sure to be prepared for this challenge. In addition, players will have the chance to obtain HAICMA: Starveil for free when playing through this new story chapter.

New Characters Interludes Chapters

During the Update duration, a new character interludes chapter will be available for all players that are lv 40 and above and have access to character interludes.

Clearing these character interludes provides players with extra background information for the new character introduced during this Update -. In addition, playing the interlude chapters allow players to playtest the new characters of this update, allowing them to have a better understanding of their playstyles and help decide if you should roll for the new characters.

 

Clearing these Character Interlude Chapters also reward players with a lot of gacha currencies, so make sure to clear them while they are available during this update since once this Update has 

passed, you will need to own the characters to access these Interlude Chapters again.

Special Event Farming Stages

In addition to brand new permanent contents added into the game like the story chapter and the character interludes, we also receive Event Specific Farming Stages that only last during the Update period and will be gone forever after the update has ended.

Farming these stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Brand New Set of Memories and special event exclusive items.

Special Event Shop

Farming the Special Event stages will reward players with special currencies that they can then use to exchange for various rewards from the Event Shop such as EXP pods, Cogs, Memories.

 

Players should prioritize getting the event exclusive 6* Memories for HAICMA: Starveil from the event shop first and foremost as they cost a large amount of event currencies. Once players have exchanged for all of the shards, players then can priorities other upgrading materials such as EXP, Cogs Boxes, 6* Memories, etc.

 

It is also important to note that special Memories that suit HAICMA: Starveil combat prowess will be discounted during the event’s period as well, so players should exchange 1 set of that special memory set in order to boost her combat capabilities.

Special Constructs Optimization

With the brand new update patch, 2 new Constructs have been added to the special Constructs Optimization system, allowing players to spend special currencies on them in order to not only improve their combat capabilities but also make changes to their gameplay entirely by unlocking special passives and brand new character animations.

 

The 2 characters who have received this treatment are Camu: Crocotta and Lee: Palefire, one Uniframe and another an Omniframe and they have received massive changes to the two Constructs.

 

For Camu:Crocotta, with the upgrades from the Optimization System, he will receive a massive boost to all of his combat abilities and allow him to receive a massive buff to his damage modifier for his Darken state, accessible through the use of his ultimate ability. In addition, he will receive a brand new passive move that allows him to further strengthen his damage after he have successfully dodge attacks from enemies, allowing him to lunge forward and deal a massive instance of Dark elemental attack against them. This Optimization buff allows him to become a massively powerful Dark Uniframe with the ability to solo stages when used correctly.

For Lee:Paleflame, he received a massive buff to his kit through his Optimization abilities. With the buffs, Lee:Paleflame will now deal Fire damage to all enemies with higher uptime and better damage modifiers once his enhancement has reached a high enough level, allowing him to become a proper Fire Elemental DPS instead of a hybrid Fire/Physical DPS. In addition, the duration and effects of his passive have also been greatly enhanced, allowing him to deal much more Fire damage to large groups of enemies without having to go through much set up and preparations.

Limited Time Banner - Should You Roll

The main attraction of this patch and the star of the show, the special rate up banner for the brand new Uniframe - HAICMA:Starveil.

HAICMA: Starveil

HAICMA:Starveil is a Ice Elemental Uniframe Construct that specializes in tanking enemies’ hit and dealing big amounts of Ice damage back to them as a large AOE Counterattack at the opportune moment.

HAICMA: Starveil main strong point lies in her passive which allows players to hold the attack button and charges her attack into a big AOE attack which wipes all enemies surrounding her with a big Ice Elemental slash, freezing enemies in place and allow her to counter any attacks thrown at her during her chagrin duration. During this duration, HAICMA will also receive less damage and obtain special Super Armor which further mitigate the damage she might take.

 

HAICMA’s orbs and pings allows her to do various large scale attacks against enemies, dealing massive amounts of Ice Elemental damage and grants her various beneficial buffs, making her an extremely powerful Ice Elemental Uniframe Construct

Not only is HAICMA:Starveil a very interesting and powerful Uniframe Construct to have for future contents, her banner will also guaranteed players the Construct in the first multi pulls, meaning you can get her with minimal cost to their resources, therefore, players should absolutely try to roll for her when you still have the chance.
