Limbus Company Special Gamemode Guide - Mirror Worlds Dungeons
The special endgame content of Limbus Company is a special roguelike mode where players can partake in exploring a dungeon filled with rewarding and dangerous encounters and partake in many battles in order to test out their team’s capabilities and obtain a large variety of rewards like character upgrading materials, Battle pass EXP, special character Threads and even the premium currencies that needed for Gacha rolls in the game.
Mirror World Dungeon is, however, a very difficult mode to partake in, therefore players should strengthen their rosters in advance before attempting to play this special gamemode, otherwise they might lose the rewards they have obtained from the attempt.
Mirror Worlds Mechanics - Recruitment
The Mirror Worlds Dungeon mode works on special mechanics that players will need to play around in order to effectively clear the dungeons, this includes the special recruitment system. Unlike normally where players can freely choose their best Sinners and Identities to partake in every possible match and battle in the game, the Mirror Worlds Dungeon limits the amount of Sinners players can bring into the stage and will hinder their capabilities even further at the start.
At the start of an expedition, players can only choose up to 3 different sinners to enter the dungeons. These sinners can only be set with 1 identity each and they won’t be able to retroactively change their identities to fit with the stage’s requirements. After this initial recruitment round, players can only recruit brand new sinners into their roster once the players have cleared a floor or encounter a special recruitment action node.
Keep in mind that the HP pool of the sinners are shared after all battles, meaning that once their HP reaches 0, the sinner won’t be able to be used for future fights, making it extremely difficult to advance further once the player runs out of an actual team to clear the stages.
The sinners have the ability to be upgraded and have their level raised for every fight the players completed during the expedition or when players encountered special level up event nodes. However, there are no revival events.
Mirror Worlds Mechanics - Event Nodes
During the expedition into the Mirror Worlds Dungeon, players will have to go through different event nodes in order to advance and clear the floors and obtain special rewards from different nodes. These event nodes range from the usual Battle Nodes, Level UP Nodes, Recruitment Nodes, Healing Nodes, Special Event Nodes and Floor Boss Nodes.
Battles Nodes are battle encounters that players will need to clear in order to advance, these battles vary with some battles requiring players to manually select the correct targets in order to finish the battle and advance. Once cleared, the players will have a chance to upgrade 1 of their sinners.
Level UP nodes, Recruitment Nodes and Healing Nodes are special nodes that don't initiate a battle encounter but instead grants the players a beneficial effect depending on the nodes they land on. The Level UP node provides players the chance to upgrade up to 3 sinners at once, the recruitment nodes allow players to recruit 1 additional sinner to their roster and the Healing nodes help heal all alive sinners.
Special Event Nodes, when landed on, will initiate a special event that requires players to make several choices during the event in order to obtain special collectibles called Ego gifts that have the ability to strengthen the team even further during Expeditions. Be wary of the choices you make tho, since many of them can lead to detrimental effects to all of your sinners and may cost you your run.
Floor Boss Nodes are the final nodes of each floor, each with an extremely difficult battle encounter that players need to clear in order to advance into the next floor. These encounters are randomized and some are extremely difficult, so players should be prepared before entering these nodes.
Mirror Worlds Mechanics - EGO Gifts
EGO Gifts are special collectibles only available in Mirror Worlds Dungeon as special items that can boost the sinners’ abilities and strength in order to help players to clear the fights easier.
At the very start of the expedition and after clearing each floor, players will be rewarded with 1 EGO gift each. The remaining EGO gifts can randomly be gained from special options during Special Event Nodes. Each EGO Gifts effect will stack together and will enhance the effects of certain sinners’ skills depending on the gifts’ effects.
It is important to note that the color of the EGO Gifts’ names indicates the effect and the elements that those EGO gifts will effect, so players should choose the EGO gifts with colors matching their sinners’ attacks elements.
How to Clear Mirror Worlds - Tips and Tricks
Uptie Your Characters
As the sinners in Mirror Worlds automatically get leveled up as you progress during the dungeon, the only thing players need to worry about is the uptie progress of each individual identities for the sinners as this progress will unlock special skills and abilities for each sinner during battles. So players should choose the best identities that have the highest uptie status before going into the Mirror Worlds Dungeon in order to have the best outcome.
Know Your Best Sinners’ Skills
As Ego Gifts affect the effects of individual sinners’ skills and elements, it is of utmost importance that you have a good understanding of your own sinners’ abilities and skills in order to take advantage of the individual EGO gifts’ effects in the most effective way possible.
Consider Your Choices Carefully
As mentioned, during your expedition, you will have the chance to encounter different types of nodes that perform different functions. Therefore, players should consider carefully which nodes they want to land on in order to advance as many nodes may have detrimental effects that may cause the end of a run in an instance if not taken seriously. The safest nodes to advance to are the beneficial ones like Level UP, Recruit and Healing nodes, while the special Events Nodes are extremely high risk high rewards, so players should be wary before choosing these.
