Contents:

General Overview

Regulus is a 6* Star Afflatus Arcanist that specializes in dealing Mental damage to enemies and grants allies the special status [Riot and Roll] to completely dodges enemies’ attacks, allowing the team to dodge dangerous attacks and other attacks that certainly will result in defeat for the party.

Role And Stats Analysis

Regulus can be categorized as a Sub DPS/ Buffer Arcanist with her ability to not only deal amazing mental damage to enemies but also her ability to grant the party beneficial effects like her special [Riot and Roll] buff and reduces the enemies’ moxie with her abilities and skills.

Regulus stats are quite ideal for a main/sub DPS character with her stats being on the higher side for a 6* Arcanist and are distributed quite favorable to the offensive side with her critical chance and critical damage modifiers being extremely high when compared to other DPS options in the game. In addition, all of her attack, HP and defensive stats are also above average, making her quite an impressive Arcanist with even stats all around.

Skills And Ultimate Analysis

- Regulus’ 1st skill - Treat for the Ears: 1-target attack. Deals (200/300/500)% Mental DMG.

Skill Ranking: A Rank

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Regulus’ main damaging skill and her single target options to deal with boss or elite enemies. This skill has the most basic effect of all the skills in the game with its ability to simply deal massive amounts of Mental damage to 1 enemy. However, the damage modifier of this skill is extremely high to make up for the lack of any additional effect, making it a decently powerful damaging skill.

- Regulus’ 2nd skill - Challenge for the Eyes: Mass attack. Deals (150/175/275)% Mental DMG to 2 enemies. When the caster scores a critical hit, Moxie -(0/1/2) for the target.

Skill Ranking: A - S Rank

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Regulus’ 2nd skill is a decently powerful AOE damaging skill that deals Mental damage to 2 enemies of her choice. This skill enjoys a very powerful effect that can be extremely beneficial for fights in the form of reducing the enemies’ Moxie level. However, due to the hard to trigger condition of needing Regulus to deal critical hits to trigger, this skill rating suffers, once players have managed to upgrade Regulus enough to guarantee that Regulus will always deal critical hits with this skill, this skill of her will be raise to S Rank.

- Regulus’ Ultimate - Sleepless Rave: Mass attack. Deals 300% Mental DMG to all enemies and inflicts Riot and Roll status on all allies for 1 round.

Ultimate Ranking: S Rank

Ultimate Analysis And Recommendations: Regulus’ most powerful damaging ability and the reason why she is one of the most sought after DPS for late game contents. This ultimate is Regulus' bread and butter due to its decently high modifier, resulting in a decently powerful damage spread against all enemies. However, the main attraction of the ultimate lies in the Riot and ROll status, which allow all allies to be able to dodge 1 attack from the enemies each. It is important to note that this effect only triggers if the ally does not act after it is applied and will only apply once for each ally.

Skills And Ultimate Recommended Order In Battle: Use Skill 1 to damage enemies. Use Skill 2 only against enemies with high Moxie levels and players should only use skill 2 when it is at star rating 2 and above for maximum efficiency. Use Ultimate at the end of the player’s turn only this is to ensure that all allies will have a dodge counter at the end of the turn and doesn’t waste the effect.

Portray Priority

While not necessarily needed, Regulus does have a very important Portray level at level 5, which allows her to grant all allies 1 stack of [Riot And Roll] for 2 turns instead of only 1 turn. However, it is not worth spending too much resources to get this Portray level for Regulus as it only slightly improves her effect and will only be beneficial for an additional 1 turn.

Psychubes & Resonance Recommendations

Psychubes Recommendations:

With Regulus being a Main/ Sub DPS carry character fitting into the role of a damage carry or defensive buffer in a team, Regulus’ best Psychubes includes those that allows her to deal better damage on her Ultimate and those that boost her critical damage and critical chance to take advantage of her high critical stats.

Some of the best Psychubes for Regulus includes:

- Brave New World (6*):  After the carrier casts an Ultimate, Incantation Might of the next incantation +(20/40)%. [Regulu’s best DPS Psychube option for focusing on her Ultimate damage as it massively boost the damage output of her skills after using her Ultimate skill and the Ultimate damage output as a whole]

- Thunderous Applause (6*): Critical Rate +(10/16)%. Amplification: When the carrier’s 1-target attack scores a critical hit, Critical DMG +16%. [A wonderful Psychube for Regulus as it massively boost her critical damage output and focuses mainly on her ability to deal damage with her critical hits]

Resonance Recommendation:

For Resonance, Regulus benefits most from Attack, Damage and Critical Oriented Resonances for her role as a DPS character with a mix of Defensive Resonance as well to keep her alive.

Team Compositions Recommendations

As regulus is a DPS character, her role in a team is the Main/ Sub DPS, making her team compositions be divided into 2 different types of teams as followed:

Damage Oriented Team: DPS + Sub-DPS + Survival Support

All Rounder Team: DPS + Damage Support + Survival Support

Damage Oriented Teams:

For this type of team, Regulus can act as both the main or the sub DPS, depending on the type of damage you want and her allies.

Other Main DPS and Sub DPS options includes: Centurion (6*), Eternity (6*), Charlie (5*).

Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).

All Rounder Teams:

Regulus’ main role in an all rounder team is to provide supplement damage to compensate for the main damage dealer while also using her ultimate to grant the party powerful defensive status to help the team survive in dangerous situations.

Main DPS options includes: Centurion (6*), Eternity (6*), Charlie (5*).

Damage Support options includes: An-an Lee (6*), Pickles (6*), Bkornblume (5*), X (5*), Click (5*)

Final Verdict

Arcanist Rank & Role: S Rank Damage Dealer, A Rank Survival Support
