The old version (which was a decent app) refused to work without an update. The new version puts malicious and fraudulent ads in every last corner of the UI. Every single step forces a video ad, and there are new, pointless steps for every action. It even forces you to watch ads just to play your own videos! Don't give these animals a cent.
I'll make this short and straight to the point. This app has an ad for every single action you do. The compression worked, but it refused to work in the background. Trimming a video INCREASED the file size. The only thing they respond with when you complain about the absurd amount of ads is; "sorry about that, please buy an upgraded version" I understand that it's a free app, but if you have a video to compress, I do not recommend this. The only reason I gave it two stars is because it worked.
does what it says, but at the cost of sooo many ads. most screen realistate is ads. after ever action, video ad. sneaky asking for permission to send notifications. ads pretending to be part of the app. lots of self promoting to get you to pay for premium. subscription model with lifetime option. possibly 'fake' discounts to make you think you got a deal. I can not overstate how much of an offense to the senses this app is because of the ads. I honestly don't think it was worth it.
