Requires your phone to stay on. I need to keep doing something with my phone to keep it awake & the screen on. If I let the phone screen turn off then it stops recording. This is extremely annoying and makes it basically not worth it for things like class lectures. I recommend looking for another app unless you want to keep tapping your phone every 60 seconds to keep the screen on.
This app came preinstalled on my device so I had no idea it did this automatic transcripts thing. It also offered to tag the recording with the people present, the location it was taken, and with a few specific keywords mentioned during the recording, which kinda freaked me out. From a privacy standpoint, you might as well publish your recording straight to social media.
The app saved your recordings in an inaccessible directory in the app. You can't find the recordings with a file manager. Instead you have to go through one of several convoluted processes to upload them to One Drive or email them to your. Google attempting to force you to buy their "upgraded" cloud storage. Oh, and make sure you get the files out of the app somehow because it will randomly delete anything more than a month or two old. Better yet, find an app that's actually user friendly.
