Randomly decided to check my speeds when the notification was showing zero transfers up or down. Opened the app to be greeted with a disconnected message. Because it's too hard to have a push notification for when I get disconnected. Not the first time. I like to be constantly aware of my connection status and this app is not very helpful in achieving that status. As for a suggestion, I'd also like the ability to have an automatic IP change after so many mb/gb or a timer for every 30 minutes.
I think there might be a problem with this app and Android 10. It worked just fine on 9, but on 10 I'll pick up my phone to discover the VPN randomly disconnected. Sometimes it'll automatically reconnect, but most of the time I have to do it manually. And even then, sometimes it won't reconnect manually, just stay in a cycle of trying to reconnect. Edit: Always on was already enabled. I'm guessing this will happen again, and when it does, I'll be sure to use the Report Bug option within the app. When this gets resolved, I'll certainly update my rating. Edit2: Yes, I did use the Report A Bug option in the app, and I am currently in contact with the support team. I do still have the problem as of this second edit. Edit3: After working with support, it looks like my issue was resolved by clearing the cache and the data. Updating review accordingly. (Support staff were also very helpful and friendly.)
This app would be perfect if it had an auto reconnect option. It's really bad having to do continuous manual checks (to ensure it's still up and not disconnected silently without alerting the user (happens now and then)). Update: The always on VPN feature is always on since using this app...but it doesn't seem to reconnect if the connection is lost. However I noticed if secure core servers are used, the connection is almost always there...i guess those servers have a higher capacity.
