The app is let down by it not connecting to the light. I have to try about 10 times. Even then it might not connect. Would be nice if the app had more features. I got intouch with fluval who said 'try this, try that' but it still would not connect very well. I asked if they would change it for another and they said no. So much for a 3 year warranty!!!
Was working when I set lights up, now it will not automatically turn bluetooth on and off when I access app. It started asking allow bluetooth. Not a big deal but I liked it better the other way, I checked and firmware is up to date..oh well.
I would not recommend these lights to anyone simply because of the app. It requires a password. If you forget the password, you have to get a hold of Fluval to reset it for you. It's absolutely asinine to have to get permission for YOUR light with NO password reset available.
