Regretfully I am reducing my 5-star review to a 1-star review. I absolutely love the app. As someone with ADHD that is constantly losing my keys and wallet it has changed my life for the better. I no longer have to spend 15 minutes looking for my keys... when it works. Again, I absolutely love the app. My issue is with the hardware. Even with a strong signal it often won't chime, or it'll chime for a brief moment and then go silent.
The app is now set up to have a bold red caution requesting permission to run off the battery in the background that shows indefinitely unless you give it permission. It also warns that it will cost the battery to deplete faster. I literally only turn my Bluetooth or location on when needed in order to conserve my battery life. This should be an optional setting and not a consistent passive demand at the top of the app.
It does the basics and it has helped me find my keys many times. However, the app leaves a lot to be desired. If it doesn't find your tile it goes into a notify when found mode. So it's really confusing when you're walking around trying to find your keys to get out of that mode and hit the find button. Also, the app is cluttered with ads and upgrade offers. That's the last thing you want to deal with when you're rushing around trying to find your keys.
