Sudoku is a timeless number game that is simple to learn, but provides endless ways to challenge yourself. A sudoku puzzle is played on a grid of 9 rows and 9 columns, which are broken down into 9 separate 3x3 blocks/grids (each 3x3 block/grid is composed of 9 fields) for a total of 81 fields on the game board. The puzzle must have the numbers 1-9 located in each row, each column, and each of the 3x3 grids/blocks. The numbers may not be duplicated within any row, column, or 3x3 block, and there are only 9 of each number allowed on the game board.

Sound complicated? Don’t fret, it’s way easier to master than you think! You’ll pick it up and be addicted in no time. (We know from personal experience.) The game board comes pre-populated with a set of numbers already (the amount of numbers given to you at the start of the game is based on the difficulty level selected) and your goal is to fill in the rest of the numbers using the simple rules above.
