The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands is an idle survival city building simulation game where players build, discover, craft and survive.

Progression is too slow. Half the time you're staring at the screen waiting for stuff. Not much is explained (e.g. attributes for villagers) There's no fast forward feature, and the only way to get past certain points in the game is by learning from your mistakes, but with how slow, tedious, and repetitive the progression is, it's not fun to learn. The art style is nice though.

Very basic resource management, but very slow paced. Lost a few guards the first couple nights but new members regularly show up and it wasn't difficult to equip a dozen with steel armor and swords. Never came close to running out of food with only a single farmer or two the only tedious thing was how long it takes to produce leather. No explanation of objectives at all, seem to have built all the structures and guess you're supposed to explore caves but really don't see the motivation.

Reminds me of some VERY old flash games. Fair resource management that is forgiving enough (at least as far as the free section of the game). Enjoyable simple art and music, giving a relaxing vibe until night falls, which gives a nice feeling of anxiously waiting for the safety of daylight to return.
