Sociologically, education is a process of fostering individuals in the context of the family, so that this family contributes to the creation of society as a Muslim ummah which is the bearer, practitioner, and builder of values of compassion for all living things. This contribution was given by the ummah Muslimah in her position as caliph fil ardhi towards khairu ummah (the best ummah). The contributions given differ from one community to another. This difference in contribution is influenced by educational factors that are carried out in harmony with the character of the community, cultural potential, and the spiritual values it adheres to.
Because education is always in context, education is not carried out in a vacuum, but is carried out based on the realities that exist in that society. Therefore, education reflects the face of society. Education is directed at selecting, fostering, and glorifying certain patterns in the social system. This means that the focus of learning in education is the behavior patterns of the people themselves, which in turn will shape the identity and character of the nation. Therefore, the goals of education and the curriculum are summarized in educational activities.
