Prayer is a request or expression of one's wish to Allah SWT. in the Al-Quran and Hadith, there are many prayers taught by Rasulullah and previous prophets as examples and inspirations for Muslims.

Prayers in the Koran are generally related to asking for protection, blessings, forgiveness, safety, happiness, and so on. Some examples of famous prayers in the Koran include:

Prayer of Repentance: "O my Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, Verily, You are the Most Recipient of repentance, the Most Merciful." (QS. Al-Mu'minun: 118)

Salvation Prayer: “O our Lord, give us what You promised us through Your Apostles, and do not insult us on the Day of Judgment. Verily, You have not broken a promise.” (QS. Ali-Imran: 194)

Faith Strength Prayer: "O our Lord, give us fortitude in facing Your trials, and strengthen our feet and help us fight against the disbelievers." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 250)

While the prayers in the Hadith are the prayers taught by the Prophet Muhammad. to his friends. These prayers are often practiced by Muslims in everyday life. Some examples of prayers in the Hadith include:

Prayer before going to bed: "Bismikallahumma amutu wa ahya" (In your name O Allah, I die and I live).

Prayer when you wake up: "Alhamdulillahilladzi ahyaana ba'da ma atamana wa ilaihin-nusyur" (Praise be to Allah who has revived us after turning us off and to Him we return).

Prayer before eating: "Bismillahi wa 'ala barakatillah" (In the name of Allah and with His blessings).

Prayer after eating: "Alhamdulillahil ladzi at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin" (All praise be to Allah who has given us food and drink and made us believers).

Prayers in the Al-Quran and Hadith have great virtue and power because they are direct instructions from Allah SWT. Therefore, Muslims are encouraged to always pray in every opportunity and situation encountered, and adhere to the teachings of the Al-Quran and Hadith as a guide for life.
