X Air Monitor Mixer Description

NOTE: This app does not transmit audio. It is a remote control for Behringer's XAir family of mixers (X18, XR18, XR16, XR12 , MR18, MR12).

It allows each musician on stage to choose exactly what they hear in their monitor without affecting (or being able to affect, even by accident) the band's main mix.

Usage:

1. Connect to the same WiFi network as the mixer. In most cases, this should be enough for the app to find your mixer. However, if your sound engineer has changed the default address of the mixer, you'll have to enter that new address in the app's connection screen.

2. Choose which monitor you want to mix. If your sound engineer hasn't named these in a way that makes it obvious which is yours, ask him which is yours.

3. Mix away. :)

QUICK FIX FOR COMMON ISSUE: To the people who are having problems re-connecting and are frustrated with the "Waiting for response from mixer." notification, the reason is that the mixer itself changes IP address each time it is turned on. Not every time, but almost every time. So you have to check the computer that is being used as the main mixer and note the IP address that is currently being used, then check it against your Monitor Mixer app and make changes accordingly. It's actually a really quick fix once you know what the deal is. I just do it automatically as part of setting up now, takes like 30 seconds and involves changing just one digit.

Constantly disconnects from X Air 16's router and won't reconnect at all now. All I get is a flashing message that says "Waiting for response from mixer." I had to force stop the app, clear it's cache, turn my phone's wireless off and back on, etc. before it would work again, but now...nothing. None of the other guys in the band have this problem, and I have no problems with my phone's WiFi. I want my money back! 😠 Moto G7, brand new with no other 3rd party apps installed!

I've been using this app for our live performances for several months now. Installed on my Galaxy S9+ and it works perfectly. The only issues we have as a band comes from the mixer/wifi dropping, but no issues from the app. Just played a show using a stick PA and didn't have my IEM mix, and missed having this app next to me controlling my monitor.
