This is a really great game. One of my all time favorites actually. However, I can't deny that the matchmaking algorithm is designed to make you pay to compete. $99 a year. It is uncannily rigged to set you against much stronger players when you're close to winning the monthly league battles and preventing you from going up to the next tier. Update: they've updated it again after years of inactivity. They changed the font.

UPDATE: Even if you buy something and get to a certain level, finding an opponent takes over 90 seconds! Outrageous!!!!! It could be great, but if you don't pay or buy anything, the game throttles your play time. It also slows you down when u reach a certain level as well. It shouldn't take three minutes to find an opponent! Sux.

This is one of the best games I've played. However, the last year has had its ups and downs. Multiple times, the game has periods it goes through where it crashes constantly or is unable to even get a match-up. It's been horrible lately. Devs recently had an update to supposedly fix the bug, but it hasn't worked. It almost feels like they stopped monitoring the game. Excellent game when it's actually working.
