Vigie Bourgogne Description
Flavescence Dorée (FD), a quarantine disease, is a particularly contagious and incurable jaundice in the vine. It is caused by a phytoplasma that circulates in the sap. The disease is characterized by discoloration of the leaves and non-auguration of the woods. It causes heavy crop losses and can jeopardize the sustainability of vineyards.
The fight against the disease is preventive. Mastering the vector, treating the wood with hot water, uprooting and prospecting are the four pillars of the collective struggle. This vine reporting application comes in support of collective surveys carried out at the end of summer and makes it possible to envisage the early uprooting of affected vine stocks.
In 2020, this application will be tested in the municipalities of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Prémeaux-Prissey, Comblanchien and Corgoloin in Côte-d'Or, Chardonnay in Saône-et-Loire and with winegrowers affected by the golden flavescence during the years spent in the Jura. The reporting period via the app is from June 20 to July 31, 2020.
