Trifone Spinelli Description
Born in Adelfia in Puglia in 1958, I completed my classical and university studies in Bari, graduating in Literature with a thesis on Henry James (The Turn of the Screw). I taught for many years in Veneto, then abroad, in the European Schools of Belgium (Mol) and Luxembourg (Kirchberg). Finally I came back to Puglia both for teaching and to be able to live in the countryside and near the sea of my origins, where it all began. I recently published a collection of poems at the Albatros-Il Filo publishing house (Rome): «Melo -die at the time of WhatsApp». I also write short stories, which maybe one day I will publish. The greatest ambition is a novel, for now only in progress. My passions, in addition to literature, are music, gardening, the sea, travel and photography. Now the days follow a totally free rhythm, being now retired. The study of the piano regulates important segments of my daily time, contributing to poetic writing and always bringing me back to the heart of things. The teaching profession has given meaning and direction to my life anchoring it to reality and predisposing it to the dynamics of functional metamorphoses. Poetic writing came to the rescue just before work ceased, in such a natural and continuous way that it allowed me a less traumatic detachment from classrooms, euphoric microcosms and extraordinary forges of dreams and projects.
