Soccer Legends is a cute sports-flavoured RPG that tries to set itself apart from the field of competition with its quirky quests and wacky soccer-adjacent games. But annoyances, technical issues and a flawed match system prevent this from being the complete diversion it's meant to be.

Adventure Quests and Mini-Games
The game's quests are a little repetitive and feel uninspired. They usually involve running around a new area, speaking with the owner of a local soccer club, organizing a tournament and defeating other teams to win the regional cup.

Thankfully, there are some interesting puzzle designs that make the game a bit more entertaining. These include a number of curved shots and punting sharks with the ball. Some of these puzzles even feature a simple footvolley mini-game.

These wacky mini-games are a big part of what makes Soccer Legends unique from other sports RPGs. But they're also incredibly simple to play, requiring very little skill or thought.

It's also worth mentioning that there are several 1v1 matches in the game, which are actually easier to win than full team matches, making it a very convenient way to play the game with friends.
