Pazaak Online Description
1. HOW TO PLAY PAZAAK
PAZAAK IS A HEAD-TO-HEAD CARD GAME.
YOUR GOAL IS TO SCORE AS CLOSE TO TWENTY AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT GOING OVER.
THE PLAYER WITH THE BEST SCORE WINS THE “SET”.
THE FIRST PLAYER TO WIN THREE ”SETS” WINS THE GAME.
2. THE PAZAAK TABLE
THE PAZAAK TABLE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO HALVES SEPARATED BY A YELLOW LINE.
THE BOTTOM HALF IS YOUR SIDE OF THE TABLE.
THE TOP HALF BELONGS TO YOUR OPPONENT.
3. PLAYING YOUR FIRST SET
THE SET BEGINS WITH THE DEALER AUTOMATICALLY DEALING A CARD INTO YOUR “DROPZONE”.
THE DROPZONE IS THE AREA OF THE TABLE WHERE CARDS ARE PLAYED.
THE SUM OF ALL THE CARDS IN THE “DROPZONE” IS YOUR SCORE.
IN EACH SET, BOTH PLAYERS TAKE TURNS BEING DEALT CARDS FROM THE DEALER’S “MAINDECK“.
4. TAKING TURNS
WHEN IT’S YOUR TURN, YOU HAVE THREE OPTIONS:
1. PLAY A SIDEDECK CARD.
2. END YOUR TURN.
3. STAND AT YOUR CURRENT SCORE.
A GOOD PAZAAK STRATEGY IS KNOWING WHEN TO USE EACH OF THESE OPTIONS.
5. USING SIDEDECK CARDS
THE SIDEDECK IS COMPRISED OF 4 RANDOM CARDS RANGING FROM -6 TO +6.YOU CAN PLAY UPTO ONE SIDE DECK CARD DURING EACH TURN.
SIDEDECK CARDS ARE MODIFIERS THAT ADD OR SUBTRACT FROM YOUR SCORE.
FOR EXAMPLE IF YOUR SCORE IS 22, YOU COULD PLAY A -2 SIDEDECK CARD TO SCORE 20.
6. ENDING A TURN
ENDING A TURN DOES NOT END THE SET, INSTEAD IT PASSES THE TURN TO YOUR OPPONENT.
WHEN THEY FINISH THEIR TURN, YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO PLAY AGAIN.
ENDING YOUR TURN IS A GOOD STRATEGY IF YOUR SCORE ISN’T HIGH ENOUGH TO STAND, OR PLAYING A SIDEDECK CARD WON’T BENEFIT YOU.
7. STANDING
STANDING IS A GOOD STRATEGY WHEN YOU BELIEVE YOUR SCORE IS HIGH ENOUGH TO BEAT YOUR OPPONENT.
FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR SCORE IS 19 AND YOU DON’T HAVE A +1 SIDEDECK CARD, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAND AND HOPE YOUR OPPONENT WON’T SCORE 20.
STANDING WILL END YOUR TURN FOR THE REST OF THE SET AND YOU WILL STAY AT YOUR CURRENT SCORE UNTIL YOUR OPPONENT STANDS AS WELL.
