Oyluyorum Description
“I Vote” is a multipurpose next generation democracy tool project which is actually composed of a framework implementing a secure communication protocol and secure decision-making storage between back-end and front-end, and a scalable SQL based database with atomic transitions and user interfaces directly interacting with system users.
It has two main functionalities: Online Discussion Platform and Secure Internet Election Arrangement. In the world there are several online discussion platforms. The discussion platform which is a part of the project, is not only able to collect user comments, but it can also handle multimedia data including images, videos etc. On the other hand, secure internet election arrangement is the part of the project, which has an innovative approach. The system users can prepare and launch elections and (schedule) start to ask about the opinions of people about any topic they really one to investigate by use of secure communication protocols. It is different from an ordinary Internet survey such that it is an election and it is handled as secure as an official election by means of signing every vote and putting each of the votes in a vote collection just like block chains. Moreover, since the elections on “I Vote” is not based on paperwork, several new voting techniques can be proposed:
• Anonymous – Open Voting: All users' votes are stored securely, so no one can access others' votes without permission. The permission is not granted by the system, that is, no system operator, government or in general, no authority can learn about the votes. But in some cases, for example in an election of a board of directors of a particular company, the votes may be desired to be revealed after the election.
• Partial Voting: Should you always select exactly one even though you may also be fond of some other candidates a little bit? So, what would you do if you can share your votes among candidates? Can you do that through paperwork elections? It is possible to share your vote among candidates on “I Vote” and election organizers can enable partial voting.
• Revote: Once you give your vote should it always be sealed? Suppose that you are in a committee; after you gave your vote some updates occur before the election is finalized and now you want to change it, why not? Of course this capability is enabled during the election design.
• On-Fly Voting: Do you know why we need constitutions? To determine how your government will work? How much will it respect you? But there is another reason for building up a constitution? Not letting all the power to one person, one party, one certain class (you certainly understood: something one, unique, the one …) On fly voting will permit you this, so the election results will be published before the completion of the election . So taking advantage of revoting capability, power may be distributed to many instead of magnificent one, you do not have to live in a kingdom of the elected. Generally, they can be worse than a god king's monarch.
