How was the Mazatlán FC soccer team born?
It was all thanks to the impulse of the Government of Sinaloa.
First, the state government built a stadium at the level of the First Division, with an investment of 750 million pesos and that is why they were looking for a team that was up to the task. Creating it from scratch would take a long time, so they turned to existing ones.

Businessmen from the city decided to unite to look for the new Mazatlán FC players. They found their answer in Morelia, since Monarcas is a team that, due to the lack of income, has had a hard time maintaining stable management.

One of the ways in which they plan to achieve this is because Grupo Salinas will continue to be the owner of the new soccer adventure. In addition, Mazatlán is the second most populous city in the state of Sinaloa with 660,000 inhabitants, so the fans will follow the club very closely.

For the moment, the team will not have another name other than Mazatlán FC and as time goes by, it will acquire symbols that both the fans and the city give it. It is expected that due to its proximity to the sea, they have the name of a marine animal.

It is the first time that the coastal city of Sinaloa will have a First Division soccer field, a situation that they have been managing for several months with the construction of a property, which was the main reason for how the Mazatlán FC soccer team was born.
