Between 1986 and 1990, Joe Arroyo and his La Verdad Orchestra recorded 36 songs distributed on 4 albums that reflect the genius of the boy from the Nariño neighborhood. In 'Original Musa' (1986), 'Echao Pa´ lante' (1988), 'Fire in my mind' (1988) and 'In action' (1990) is condensed “(…) a little piece of black history, of our history, gentleman.” Of those thirty fervent tunes, more than half are part of the continental dance heritage:

"I could swear that in '89 there were 15 Joe songs, from different years, posted in almost all the big cities in the area," recapitulates Chelito de Castro, pianist and arranger of La Verdad, who achieved enlightenment thanks to the moving piano solo that is heard in “Rebelión”, perhaps the most distinguished of those inventive ones.
