At the beginning of the game, players will see a 4 × A grid of 4 squares with two numerical squares. Players can use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys to move the number blocks, and all number blocks can move simultaneously until they touch the boundary or other number blocks. If two blocks with the same number collide, they will merge into one block and the number will double. For example, when two blocks with a number of 2 are merged, they will become blocks with a number of 4. After each move, the game will automatically generate a number block in a blank space, with a number of 2 or 4. The condition for the game to end is that the grid of blocks is filled and adjacent numerical blocks cannot be merged. If the player successfully merges into a block with a number of 2048, the game will be considered a victory.
